I think I know what really makes me tick. It's when the song has that "cool" moment where the guitar goes silent and lead singer says an awesome catchphrase of the chorus. Works especially great in metal, because the shredding gives the song proper momentum, and the break gives the catharsis.
Best thing about this is you give equal screen time to both the guitarist and the singer. That is often not done in many other music videos. As a guitar enthusiast this really warms me.
