It's a real shame that Warner Bros. mishandled some of their animated films back in the day. "Quest for Camelot" and "Osmosis Jones" had major potential, but because of the executives forcing some clichés and cheap jokes into them, they felt like missed opportunities for something unique and creative. At least WAG has more creative liberties, so that at least helps. As for my thoughts on Warner Bros. Feature Animation: Space Jam: Ridiculous? Yes. Entertaining? Yes, for me at least. Quest for Camelot: The animation and most of the songs are good, and the blind knight was a decent character. Everything else, though, just felt underwhelming and generic. Iron Giant: An absolute masterpiece! Osmosis Jones: The animated parts were cool, not so much the live-action moments. Its tv spinoff was pretty decent, though. Looney Tunes Back in Action: A genuinely solid film, with an actual story and great development for Bugs and Daffy. And of course, the animation was outstanding.
WAG (Warner Animation Group) does the Lego movie Franchise as well as Storks (2016) and Small Foot (2018). I hope to see them do something with DC comics characters, I read they might be doing the Adventure Time movie as well as a Jetsons Movie
I Actually Saw Small Foot Before, And I Will Admit Right Now, Its Not Half Bad At All, Its An Okay Film. Think Of It As (Probably) Another One Of Those Guilty Pleasure Movies That Most People Like But Others Hate!
Both Shaggy And Scooby Made A Cameo Appearence In The Movie. I Think They Were Having A Bit Of An Agrument With Matthew Lillard With His Role Of, Well, Shaggy In The Movie. You Think They Were Still Alittle Mad At Both The Producer And Writer For Making Scrappy Doo (Scooy's Nephew) The Main Villian Of The First Film?
what was their problem? aside from the fart jokes, Matthew Lillard was a perfect Shaggy, so much so that he actually took over as Shaggy's voice actor after Casey Kasem retired
Looney Tunes was a massive part of my childhood so I didn’t hesitate with the little marketing there was at the time to go see Back in Action for myself. I have since gone on to be a huge fan of Joe Dante’s work, and the film still holds up to me alongside the Gremlins movies, Matinee and the Burbs.
You're right that Warner Bros. Feature Animation had a ton of potential, but was sadly wasted and never utilized properly. The Iron Giant and maybe Looney Tunes: Back in Action sure showed their potential. But Warner Animation Group for the most part has done an excellent job with their films. I liked Smallfoot because it's never afraid to be a musical and it's own thing at the same time, even going far to think it's a zillion times better than Storks. And given that they have Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry, The Flintstones and The Jetsons films in development, I think WAG probably will realize its potential and be one of the best animation studios in America.
So I found out yesterday that WB Animation was supposed make an adaption of Bluebeard called Haunted Holiday but it got scrapped due to WB closing their animation department which is shame because it looked very neat.
2:00 yeah but they were up against Aliens as well(that were cheating by stealing the ability of other players that were active at the time), and oh btw in the actual game Marvin was a referee (I rewatched it recently because I needed some 90s therapy)...appropriate? he's a looney toon and an alien I will admit, Quest for Camelot does have the oddest voice cast group I have ever seen, I mean Jaleel White, Bronson Pinchot, I could go on 7:50 and YET it got an animated series, to be honest I actually liked Ozzy and Drix better than Osmosis Jones I almost wanted to say "Wait a minute, what about Cats Don't Dance" before I realized "Oh wait, that was a TURNER feature animation film)
I Remember "Osmosis Jones"! It Wasn't Bad, At Least It Was Kind Of Educational About The Inside Of Frank's Body. Plus, It Was Both Live Action & Animated. I Think There Were Some Episodes Of The TV Show Where They Used Some Clips Of The Movie It Was Based Of. Just Wanna Let You Know!
and when you think about it, Ozzy and Drix was kind of educational too, eh if it wasn't scripted the way it was it could have aired on PBS kids instead of Kids WB
I Liked Those Movies. I Still Don't Understand Why People Don't Like These Films, And I Think Phantomstrider, The Notalgia Critic And Animat Taked About Those Films Before In One Of Their Older Or Recent Videos!
Warner Bros has Warner Premier that Handel the animated Scooby Doo Movies and the Dc Comics so why not give them a higher budget and release those movies
Cats Don't Dance was made by Turner Animation and was only released by Warner Brothers, because of their acquisition of Turner Entertainment about five months prior to the film's opening. The Warner Bros. Cartoon Studio did indeed do the animation for "The Incredible Mr. Limpet", but they're considered a separate studio from Warner Bros. Feature Animation.
You're right that Cats Don't Dance is not a Warner Bros. Feature Animation production, hence my not mentioning it. I'm not quite sure why that's a surprise.
Thank you for this video, Stefan! I'm a huge Warner Bros. fan, so this was a very nice treat! Yeah, it is a pity that Warner Bros. Feature Animation didn't last long, as it did have potential, but I'm glad that more creative freedom has been granted and the studio has handled their animated features better ever since Warner Animation Group came along! Here are my key thoughts (in a nutshell) on the films from Warner Bros. Feature Animation: "Space Jam" - used to like it, but now it's one of my biggest regrets; as somebody who grew up watching the classic Looney Tunes shorts from the Golden Age, I find this movie to be an insult to the legacy of the characters (and yes, a feature-length commercial for Michael Jordan's career) "Quest for Camelot" - not a bad idea for a story, but not very many laugh-out-loud funny moments, and the villain was rather annoying at times. There are a couple of songs in it that I don't mind, particularly "If I Didn't Have You", sung by the two-headed dragon "The Iron Giant" - a brilliantly animated and rather moving "E.T."-like story "Osmosis Jones" - a clever and very inventive depiction of the human body "Looney Tunes: Back in Action" - one of my personal favourite films of all time. It lacks the originality that made "Roger Rabbit" what it was, but again, I grew up watching the classic shorts from the Golden Age, and unlike "Space Jam", this movie, of course, is genuinely faithful to the legacy of the characters. I also thought "Back in Action" had a better story than "Space Jam", the pop culture references in "Back in Action" were a clever touch, and it's great that the Looney Tunes were the central focus rather than the human characters
my thoughts on these films from Warner Bros. Feature Animation, 1. Marvelous! and are we going to have a sequel real soon? 2. Meh! 3. Brilliant! 4. Never Saw it! (but I did see the animated series and it sucked!) and 5. it was okay in my opinion!
Honestly, the best thing to come out of Space Jam, was the R. Kelly song: "I Believe I Can Fly". Honestly, I'd much rather listen to that song a thousand times then have to watch Space Jam.

you forgot cats don't dance
Happy Feet was very good
You forgot to mention that the Iron Giant also made an appearance in Ready Player One.

They barely promoted any of their films. *Except Space Jam.*
Warner Brothers Are Trying Their Very Best To Make Some Deccent Films.
I Hope They Are Still Doing Better!
Honestly I absolutely loved looney tunes back in action. Funny you did this video today cause I saw smallfoot again today with a friend. Great video
I Still Don't Know Why Most People Hate Looney Tunes:Back In Action The Movie!
It Wasn't That Bad!
Me too! I loved that film!
I remember seeing Back in Action in theaters and finding that I loved the moments featuring the Looney Tunes.

Well Warner Bros. Feature Animation and the Warner Animation Group are Warner Bros. Animation.
donald duck and daisy duck - walt disney company
daffy duck - warner bros. studios
I Think That Looney Tunes Back In Action And Space Jam Didn't Seem To Be THAT Terrible At All, Both Films Were Actually Quite Funny!

When you say that, were you referring to Warner Bros. Feature Animation or the current Warner Animation Group?
@@KevinKess It was Warner Bros. Feature Animation

I think it would be interesting if you did a look back at their sister company, Turner Feature Animation.

I Liked Those Movies.

Call me crazy, but I actually think WAG is the best big American animation studio right now (yes, better than Disney).
Agreed
Did you know Warner Bros. Feature Animation is the hand-drawn animated predecessor of the Warner Animation Group?
I remember Osmosis Jones animated series

Looney tunes back in action and Space Jam were a massive part of my childhood. 😄👌
Hey Stefan, what are your thoughts if Electric Dragon Productions make an editorial where main title is The History of Warner Bros. Feature Animation.
Mr Coat I Love Osmosis Jones The Movie and Ozzy & Drix
