Contrabass Sax Maniac - Excersice #1 - Bert Brandsma on a brand new Eppelsheim Contrabass saxophone

On the very first day this brand new Contrabas Sax was delivered, this was played.
The saxophone is made by Eppelsheim from München, a special order for Bert Brandsma
The music is an experiment, to try out which possibilities the horn has. The lowest note you hear it the written low A, the last note is toptone high D.

I'm pleasantly surprised at how melodious it sounds. I expected it to be at such a low level that only elephants could hear it! Bravo!!

Ben nooit verder gekomen dan een altsax en dat is ook al heel lang geleden. Heb het idee dat je hier veel lucht voor nodig hebt, vooral bij de lage noten.
