    I'm right haned. I kick with my right leg do everyhting with my right. I was told to have my right foot forward in my start, but my entire life I've always had my right foot back since its my quickest leg. Is that the right way to start?

    a) When push off from the stance, do I use 2 feet to push off, or just the lead leg ?
    b) And do I drive with my toes from the starting stance ?

      Brian Smith both feet but you keep th lead leg engage on the ground to set up the stride

      With blocks it’s the lead leg push, no blocks here so abit more both feet.

    The leg that u would try to dunk off. Thats your power leg. Or have someone push u from behind and the leg that gose to stop you from falling should be the same.

    Which leg should have forward...your dominant leg or the other one? I change up when I am practicing sprints but just curious is there a scientific advantage with either?

    • @STACK
      @STACK  10 лет назад +6

      Alternate which leg is forward when performing sprints with the goal of improving athletic performance. This will ensure equal strength, power and coordination on both sides. However, when your are getting timed, it is recommended that you have your non-dominant leg forward.

      +Toto Rainbow non-dominant leg forward??..I disagree

      Why would you have your non-dominant leg forward? That makes no sense at all.

    • @stevefowler1787

      Sponge . I believe that is standard practice in sprinting...at least that is when I run my best times, with my dominant (right in my case), back.

    Why do right leg dominant sprinters start on their left leg? Isn't the push off better with your dominant leg?

    • @keithorleans
      @keithorleans 4 года назад +3

      ikr?? but most right handed people maintain better balance jumping from their left foot and landing on the right hence the starting position

      Yes exactly

    • @scgang8246
      @scgang8246 2 года назад +2

      It’s whatever leg you jump with. Most right leg dominant athletes jump higher with their left leg

    why even need a strength and conditioning coach when you have youtube?

    • @ar314duece
      @ar314duece 6 лет назад +30

      Because a previously recorded you tube video can't critique your current mistakes. Watching a video doesn't mean you'll go out and perform it perfectly.
