I got this deck when it first came out. A couple of years later I got a second one and cut the borders off. This was before deck mods were a thing. I only intended to trim the white border, but then I went wild and cut off the beautiful scroll work as well. It maKes the cutest little deck. I found I used it often and it's so easy to take with along. I got this knew one the second I saw it on the shelf. Years later, Now that my eyes are getting old and bent, I love the larger artwork. I love the purple on the backs and the purple gilding makes me beyond happy. I have fallen in love with this deck all over again. 😁 It's so wonderful that publishers are finally listening to the tarot community. Plus I think we all want more purple.
Isn't it cool to have linen cardstock from US Games, and the images have nice sharpness! Thank you, Simon! Loved the 'SiBri' engraving on your new Lamy pen!

Wasn’t going to be tempted by this deck but have changed my mind ..love the purple gilding ( I am that shallow!) and at first look I like the staff and pentacle suits in particular. Thanks for this comparison vid.
What a very beautiful deck Simon. I definitely like this new version best in your comparison. I like that it has a really nice box, a good size book, and also lovely edging, and I love that it is borderless. I also like the smallish size of the cards as I find smaller cards easier to handle, (though I don't really mind any size), so it ticks all the boxes for me. What a stunning deck! I think they made things difficult for themselves on the original deck by designing the artwork around the border, rather than the other way around. Now with this borderless edition they’ve ended up with such an odd card shape in order to preserve the aspect ratio and avoid cropping the image. Gilding is fabulous though.

I have the original Tarot of a Moon Garden and love the art. When I heard a borderless deck was coming out, I was so happy. However, when I received the new borderless, the size was a big disappointment. Standard size would of been best and not the skinny size. It's like they just cropped the edges. Oh well.
Love the original deck as it was my first ever deck. I love the look of the new one too as it has much richer colours & purple backs & guilding. However I wish they had kept them to the standard size as they just seem a tad stretched out which I'm not keen on. There was also I remember a book that came out separately for the original deck although I never bought it. Overall I will stick with my original deck mostly because it has a lot of sentimental value but also we most definitely have a strong bond..... hopefully you get what I mean or am I just being weird?😅

As often that we critizising the mm publishers (and often there's a good reason for that) in this case I'm happy that I can give a mm publisher a positive feedback with this. In my opinion this is really a nice improvement of everything: cardstock, layout of the images, box and an actual, useful guideBOOK. It makes me happy to see that mm publishers in general seem to up their game slowly but surely.

It really is. I’m always nervous about beloved decks having a make over, but US Games has done a fantastic job!
I LOVE THIS DECK its so whimsical and I generally go for traditional old school Italian Tarot desk but its so fun
