  • The Erenberg Tarot is inspired by Pamela Colman Smith’s artwork in the RWS tarot and magnifies the symbols present. This walkthrough provides a comparison between the two decks, highlighting their differences and enhancements.
    I received this deck as a kind gift from the wonderful Susan from Crow Quill Tarot.

      @@the_hermits_cave I really feel like I want this Deck and really I'm so careful with Decks to buy one means so much to me, well because they often come along in my Backpack or Purse they are a Part of my life and they hold. a lot of Energys and therefore to choose wisely for me is important (ofcourse this does not apply to you because we are all in need of good Deck Content, wich you provide to the finest Level and therefore need all these Decks also for US ;-)). But this Deck has already looked deep in my eyes ;-))))))))) it is awesome..

    I always look for the Hermit card and this deck's bright lantern with the mountain behind the lantern delivers the message of the Hermit up high, lighting the way for those who seek solitude up above the busy, crowded and noisy village. This deck is now on the top of my wish list. Thank you for this comparison with the RWS, as both decks compliment each other.

    So the Ram (Aries) has been replaced with the Bull (Taurus) on The Emperor. Not that I pay much attention to the Astrology of Tarot :) Interesting deck! The hat on the Wheel of Fortune reminded me of the saying, "throw your hat in the ring".

      @crowquilltarot 5 месяцев назад +1

      I had not noticed that. Thank you for pointing that out. I'm experimenting with mixing this deck with another (which I often do) and that influences that choice for me. I am not using the Wheel of Fortune card from this deck b/c I don't like the hat. It feels like a midway barker enticing you to frivolously throw money away on a silly game. Not what the WoF means to me...

    • @DavidWilson-hd6iz
      @DavidWilson-hd6iz 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@crowquilltarot Yes, the hat on the WoF does seem a bit odd. My first thought was the hat of some kind of 1920s fairground hustler. Or maybe the artist thought it was a period 1909 hat, i have no idea :) Good luck mixing the deck with another, I've never tried that.

      Oh, I am sure Pixie is seeing this deck from wherever she is in the Spirit world. Perhaps, I am just a little too 'woo-woo' but I do wonder if she is behind some of these modern RWS decks, influencing and inspiring the artists. IMHO, this deck has a lot of 'Pixie' in the artwork.

    Artwork and execution not for me personally but I do like how this deck would plays out in spreads. Very different feel from any other deck I can think of. Symbology so up close and confronting, not something you observe from a far, makes it hard to overlook energies present in a reading, invites one to be present with the matter and challenges the ego. As a Finn this scares me tho. As a nation we big on personal space. 😂

    Thank you Simon, loved your walkthrough and insights as usual. Great idea to show it next to Pixie's deck. Very interesting concept. There's a few cards that I wish he'd done differently 😂 but that's just me being picky.
    PS. I love your tarot cloths/ mats but at times I think that they take the attention away from the cards. Again, that's just me being picky.
    Thanks a lot for sharing. Blessings!🌈🌟

    Thank you so much for the walk-through, Simon. It really is an interesting approach to the cards -- very sensory-based. And so many really pretty ones, like the Six of Cups. And those piercing eyes on the court cards in the Swords suit -- they see right through you. Is it just me or do you see a human between the horns of The Devil? The person appears to be sort of huddled, on their knees. I see it from the the back side with the outline of the person's spine. Maybe it's my own little optical illusion. Thanks again, Simon.

    I love how I get really quick and snappy answers if I want them, but I can also dive deeper with my intuition and get unique insights and Spirit-messages very easily.
    It feels really balanced energetically too. I thought it might be a bit cold, with all the close-up faces and body parts (I've never gotten on with "facey" decks), but I actually find it to be very deep and expansive and quite poignant. I truly love this deck, and I am certain that my relationship with it will only grow over time.
