it is so cool to be able to have a look behind the scenes like this video and all of ben's ones. we usually NEVER get something like it in kpop, props to DSP/BEATS for working with cool people that want to show us how the magic is done
this is the coolest thing i've seen in a long long time! As a current disillusioned film major, it's the work that you, Ben, and your whole team do that remind me why I wanted to pursue this thing in the first place. Thank you for the breakdown and I hope you guys continue working with them in the future!
Fantastic work. I'm from Brazil and I bought the Young Posse album because of this MV. I'm happy to support such an incredible work from an extremely creative team.

I really enjoyed this video! As someone who loves listening to kpop and making 3d art all I can say is your living my dream 😆 so I'm looking forward to seeing more in depth breakdowns from you! You all did an amazing job with this MV!!
So many cool shots and transitions in the MV, you fellas did an excellent job putting it all together. Even just listening to the song itself I can't help but envision the MV playing out, they compliment each other so well. Thanks for going over the process and showing some of the cool tricky techniques you used. 😎
thank you for posting this! i love the non-cgi MV and i’ve always wondered about the behind-the-scenes part of it all. this a great breakdown and i’m excited for your future work. keep it up!

@@FH-bk6bn thank you! Never went to film school, but I think it’s awesome that you’re taking that step, build some relationships and get out on sets literally as soon as you physically can if there’s one take away from this vid, it’s that there is a lot more to film than just commercials and movies! And you can do production work and VFX on the side, it’s nice to be well rounded and explore all these different avenues!
Thought the last scene of that room was a practical set. Amazing. I have a question though, how you chroma key the car and add the reflection on top of the shiny parts of the car?
@@matchdance usually my solution is, HSL curves to tint green spill on the car towards blue / desaturate etc. Ben just took random parts of the sky, and flipped/stretched them pretty crudely. Then he carefully masked out certain areas for allowing like a 50% opacity reflective appearance. If we had more time, I’d say it’s worth rendering out approximate angles of the reflections, with another wide cam catching the sky/horizon.
@@andrewdileo hahaha, that wasn't the intention. You did a great job, those are minimum details, almost seems like easter eggs. You make a great team, I hope we can continue enjoying your incredible work. Something I also like is every video after the oficial MV, from Ben and you showing all the work needed to make a great MV. Keep working man. Cheers
I am currently studying VFX. How would a student like me find work for virtual production? All the tricks you used I would use in my projects. It’s pretty awesome how much you can get away with so much. Are you working for a specific company or freelance?
@@kan-i-yahaveapizza7006 the joke about the secret recipe book on set was that the book was empty. There’s no secret, no “right” or “wrong” way to approach these things. Funny enough, as passionate as I’ve been about 3D, I really just walked into this, maintained confidence, and learned how to problem solve. So when you say all the tricks I mentioned, that you would use on your projects…I don’t see it that way. You probably would have found an even BETTER way to do it! Problem solving is the key. Someone has an idea, and they need to bring it to life. The first step is thinking, right? What does that look like in your head. Then, what does that look like drawn on paper? Then what are some small skills or experimental research you’ve done that can be applied to this idea to make it closer to what would look “real”? Then finally, how do you take all those steps, layers, and procedural processes, to create a compelling draft, and how do you work with the client to refine it into a final presentable version accepted as “good” by the general public? If you can learn to do that process, and make it feel natural, you will find your place in the VFX industry. To answer your question, I am just a wandering videographer who just so happened to be able to see some 3D visions through to the end using skills that were pretty much a hobby most of my life, and had the confidence to say that I can get the job done.
