I don't think you have to worry about ohtani getting hurt. Every single team in the playoff hunt is going to walk him three out of five times he comes up to bat in every game.
The Toronto Blue Jays understand how dangerous he is, after that home run they walked him every other time he came up.
This is the first time since Barry bonds and Josh Hamilton that I've seen a player treated with this much caution.
Shohei doesn't want to rest. He wants playoffs.

Yeah but think about it he threw a CG 1 hitter of course he was feeling good and had adrenaline, plus he went 0for5 so likely wasn't happy with his hitting and wanted to make up that performance. It's up to management to protect superstars from themselves sometimes. Doesn't matter he hit two HRs, still the wrong decision.
Not sure about this. He’s as competitive as it gets and will never ask to be taken out. That’s literally the job of a coach. Not necessarily saying it was the wrong decision just that you can’t take the players word for it
The Angels are doing their damndest to keep him. If he says he’s good to go, they’re gonna let him play.

Shohei is able to perform like that because he sleeps a lot every day. When he wakes up in the morning, he eats a meal, goes right to bed, wakes up at noon, and eats another meal. He sleeps 12 hours a day every day. I don't think there are many people who can sleep 12 hours every day. I wrote it down and he hit another one.😂

He just pinched hit in the second game. Its not like he was out there every inning. I love the old school attitude, "Lets play two!" HIs pitching arm is what needed rest- so he's not gonna pitch the second game, of course- but he can hit every three innings (obviously).
you need to take into account of what shohei wants, he is a competitor, he doesnt want to sit out when his team is in the thick of a run, he is more loyal than you think

People go on and on about last year and Aaron judge being the great hitter he was. Aaron judge was intentionally walked a few times, but he did not inspire the fear in teams that they are showing for Ohtani this year.
I've noticed the last couple of weeks, any team who has anything to play for like the Toronto Blue Jays walks him most of the time. The man's going to walk over 100 times this season.... And it's not going to be because he knows the strike zone so well.

We found Ohtani weakness. He needs to chill out and rest more. We want him to produce for the next 10 years.
The whole two-way player concept is "no rest"... he's literally a pitcher that doesn't rest as much as other pitchers, and a hitter than has the disadvantage of having the tired arm of a pitcher constantly.
They will let him do whatever he wants they want to resign him.
