Bonus tips: mix silicone with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol into a paste and apply a thin layer to fabric, let dry, making it waterproof.
Use you old hardened silicone as an ‘eraser’ to clean buildup on sandpaper.
You will find that it will lose its integrity if you alter the mix.

Fyi. As a professional myself I always store my silicone tubes at room temperature so that it always flows easily from the nozzle. I never have this mans problem of coming out of the rear of the tube. No need to be messing about with any sealant gun if you know what you are doing. He could learn a few tips.

A have been a professional caulker for over 40 years. EVERY THING HE SHOWS IS CRAP.
Especially using any liquid to tool the sealant. It works because it stops the sealant from bonding. STUPID IDEA . If you look close enough at major manufacturers websites n the data sheets intended for professionals THEY ALL say to dry tool. In fact if you spray anything on the sealant before tooling it voids the warranty. HE HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT. And the one about using a syringe is hysterical. HERE IS THE FACT. the minimum acceptable joint width is 1/4 “. EVERY PROFESSIONAL KNOWS THIS,and every major manufacturer says this in there literature.The correct way to seal the small gap around a basin is either put 1/4” bead or remove the sink clean it well ,set the sink in sealant and after the sealant has cured tighten it using the silicone as a gasket.

And none of it is anything a professional would do it bothers me when people put this out like it is true knowledge. And unknowing people follow it and it costs them money.

I used to do a lot of work for architects and lawyers that specialized in suing contractors for negligence of the contractors on behalf of the property owners, pertaining to water damage. The problem is only the rich could afford our services. Not the single homeowner that really needed the help. This is my way of trying to help the ones that really need the help. I fully expect to be banned by RUclips, but if I help 1 homeowner save thousands of dollars in damage by not listening to these morons it is worth it. So I will keep calling these morons out for their stupidity until I am banned.
I've been using an 'orange pistol' for decades without issue.
I have one as well without any trouble. I clean it well after use.
