Cut the plastic between the 2 screws on each side right in the center, then no need to shave all the plastic. after that cut the corners on the metal like you did and bend down slightly. I only needed to bend the bottom part of the metal frame maybe an 8th of an inch.
Dude THANK YOU. I’ve been looking for a video showing how to take the center console out but it’s all trucks without the center console, or they skip that part.
Thanks! I have a 2012 dodge ram. Pulled out the old radio and found the double DIN radio my wife bought wasn't going to fit. Was debating cutting it to fit, but was unsure if I was going to do this until I saw you doing it.
I first used this video to figure out how to get to my AC problem, now I have the courage to change out my factory stereo! Very cool and concise video.
Dude, thank you. I have the none center console version but after trying many times after watching the same kind of videos but for shifter on column version I still felt like it wasn't moving and I would break it like I did the dome light as I followed videos for that for my same make and model but mine was different and broke so I didn't want to break this but couldn't figure it out... The one thing nobody mentions on the No center console is the torx behind the ac inverter plug.... That was it. Not sure why mine has it but none of the others did but you mentioned it in this video and thought I should check it out... Fucking A.... That's was it. Thank you... Almost" roarrr " the the fucker broke but you saved me. Cheers
Can you give me a link for a wiring harness and dash kit to fit a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 I can’t find anything for some reason. I don’t want the cheap stuff. I have everything I need except those two things to wire up my head unit and subs
So I’m working on a 2012 Ram. Putting in an aftermarket deck/screen. I have the harnesses but I’m missing something to trigger on the backup camera. Any tips??
@@RobOutdoors623 I obviously didn’t get an answer and I’m trying to remember how I made it happen 🤔 I’m thinkin I probably grabbed the reverse wire of the vehicle itself and ran it up to the deck
hey man. so on my harness there’s no red wire. and it only works if i put the red and yellow wires together from the radio wire harness. any idea what to do? because the radio stays on and won’t turn off
right so if you bought the cheaper harness it will not have an ignition wire for the turn on because this truck uses data to turn on the radio so thats why you have to buy the pac harness. amzn.to/2Yls0SG if you twist the yellow and red wire together than you are using the 12v constant wire which has 12v all the time to turn on the radio in which it will not turn off because the red ignition is receiving 12v all the time. untie those wires and either find an accessory source for the red wire or buy the right harness. itll save you time. GOOD QUESTION.

You don't have to take the center console trim out.

Glad it helped!
My man said “Rawr” I bout died bro! 😂😂 Good stuff

Thanks for posting. I prefer the Mb quart rvdvd3.0 as you don't have to cut the upper inside dash.
Thanks for watching
Show us how to wire up this specific vehicle! Your wiring video is good but not all are the same

The side plastic pieces are wrong. Suppose to be flush with radio. You have to trim some of the plastic
Thanks for the up bro.. just what i needed.
No problem glad I can help
Is the stock radio double din
@@darraldpiddock9533Stock stereo is a custom size... not traditional double dim but the height is close. The trim kit u need is for the sides.
thank you for this!
You're so welcome!

I have a red wire for the 12v ignition switch on the back of my stereo and I cant figure out where to plug it in. 2011 ram 1500.
Let me know also having the same issue.
You didnt show the slots for the screws.
What wire harness did you use on this install?
Pac rp4-ch11 harness amzn.to/2Lkpyqu

Connect the red wire to 12volt cigarettes lighter. It will turnaround on when you turn the key to acc
Hate dodge.. soo cheap.. so little wires.. soo tough to install stereo.. they don't have off/on... they use can-bus... dont buy dodge
