Avalanche Pass Ski Trail in the Adirondacks

A winter ski of the Avalanche Pass trail in the High Peaks Wilderness Area of the Adirondacks on 28 December 2010. From Adirondak Loj, Marcy Dam. Avalanche Lake, and Lake Colden to Colden Dam, our group originally aimed to reach Mt. Marshall. It is a good route to approach Marshall, though we did not end up getting on the Marshall herdpath on Herbert Brook as the daylight hours in late December weren't agreeable with that plan after all. A great ski route, in any case!
