The discussions on this show are getting much more enjoyable to watch now that the bros are starting to get what the show is about. Good stuff these last few episodes, gents.
The whole competitive romance thing isn't really a good analogy. In this show there isn't a mystery of who Araragi is going to end up with since it's pretty well established by the end of the first season. The show is more focused on individuals and their inner problems than who likes who.
@@Venomousse i'd say its not really a harem, but its definately a romance, or at least the parts with senjogahara are. but not a childish, love at first sight, fireworks and wedding bells, poems and serenades romance, but a more mature one about two people getting to know each other and falling in love, dating and developing their realationship and feeling for each other.
I hate that the translators completely gave away that there is romance involved between Kanbaru and Senjougahara by translating 憧れの先輩 by "crush senpai" ... that's so dumb, why would you even do that? while it's true that there are hints here and there through the whole episode it's not supposed to be completely clear until the next episode...
@@xXFoiXx Unless you are Japanese or have Japanese language knowledge and know that Yuri can mean both the flower and female homosexuality, you would never catch that. That's the kind of hint people notice AFTER they know about the whole thing.
@@Kopplex That is assuming the intended audience of this is not japanese. Which is a weird assumption in the first place. And even if she didn't jump over lilies and just jumped over nothing the way she jumped to her and looked at her is very fucking obvious.
I just realized you guys were watching this. I spent most of October 2017 binge watching the whole series; Bake, Nise, etc. So I'll appreciate rewatching at a slower pace instead of binging it. Even if I just binged it again to catch up with your reactions.
Out of curiosity, have they announced how they plan on tackling the series order? If they're skittish about doing the movies but generally sticking to the normal chronology... that's okay. But at some point, they're going to have to react to 40+ minute length episodes so tackling the three short movies (which view more like really long episodes) wouldn't be a stretch. And I would be a huge proponent of reacting to the movies!
I'm getting tired of them spectulating the show based on the "watch order" thing. You're not supposed to think too much about it as a new audience, but they kept mentioning this as if it's something you need to keep in mind. Enjoy the show as it is.
Yeah, one of there Mods should just tell them that the watch order deal is just a fandom thing and really has nothing to do with how events will play out in the story.
@@cleanclouds I am not taking sides on the issue. People can watch it in whatever order they prefer, I am just saying that all of this has caused the bros to think that the watch order will somehow effect the plot itself, and that's not true. the watch order does not change the story, it just changes when certain pieces of information are revealed, which can change a little bit off how someone perceives plot but it does not change it. Personally I think both sides have good arguments as to why they watch it in their chosen order. I admit I may have sounded more dismissive than I attended in my last comment, but because both sides rarely seem to admit that the other has good points and just stubbornly cling to their views and argue with each other non-fucking stop it's sometimes hard to see it as much more than a unnecessary fan war.
Does anyone know if they're gonna be recording their reactions to Kizumonogatari? I hope so, I'd like to both rewatch it and see their reactions to it. It shouldn't be an issue with timer-based reactions.
Well following the airing order of Monogatari exactly is def not the way to go. Kizu should be watched early on, preferably after Bake. Knowing the stuff Hanekawa and Koyomi went through and Shinobu's actual form in Kizu is important for the increased Shinobu interactions and properly enjoying Hanekawa's arcs.
I'm really starting to enjoy this reaction series, but I'm quite sad to hear they'll apparently be watching Kizu after Bake. Hopefully my enjoyment will weather that blow.
When are they gonna stop making timer based reactions of monogatari? I mean monogatari series is my favourite anime but even i don't remember every line abd scene from it. I hope they could do a normal reaction some day...
The reason that they make timer based reactions to Monogatari is because they would most certainly receive a copyright strike if they did it normally. From what I have heard pretty much anyone who has tried to do a reaction using footage and sound from the show has gotten their video taken down.

They are going to feel pretty guilty for thinking Hanekawa is a creepy yandre once they get to her arc.
or snek womans arc 4 that matter
listens to thoughts on Kanbaru.... oh you sweet summer child
Just rewatched Kizu again because of this reaction and I get teary thinking about the time they will witness its greatness.
I do hope we will get to the movies before summer, since Kizu is pretty far down the line if they're doing release order xD
@@yami2227 I think they're doing Kizu right after Bake, just like the novels.
dupolup - oh hell yeah, novel order :O
The fact that they mentioned time travel. LOL 😂 😂
those fire warning in senjougahara's house are a foreshadowing

Awww.... you guys think girls are competing for Araragi... thats Adorable x3

you guys should slow down the part where he gets punched for the first time. its pretty brutal and the animation is top notch

the rewatch value of monogatari not only comes from the knowledge above the characters, moreover is because monogatari is a fucking masterpiece xD

The subtitles they're using are weird lol
These are the shitty subtitles. I don't know how their situation works with their "mods" or whoever but they dropped the ball on this one.
The opening has her jumping over lilies(yuri) to approach Senjougahara. There is absolutely nothing subtle about her interest to the audience.

the decapitation thing was more of a visual metaphor for "cutting off" in the sense of relationships. she cut kanbaru off.

Best girl inbound!
All those lilies.
Maximum Gay.
Finally caught up with the first 5 eps you guys watched. So glad you picked up this series.
Looking forward to more.
It's a bit late, but Kanbaru best girl and Hanekawa is a close second. Those that know her secret should agree with me.~
Enter best girl
Kaiki's not here yet tho?
I'm sorry but best girl is Kagenui
wait you guys are watching the monogatari series??? im in!
i think you missed the meaning of the white lily, or "yuri" in the opening.
It you want more "box cutter wielding tsundere" action, try the Fruit of Grisaia one of these days.
NEIN!!!
Finally :'D Lov u guys, thanks for this. Also, I'm waiting for the next JoJo's part 4 episode.
Are you guys still doing monogatari only once a week? It's gonna take you a century to finish..... oh boy..........
Was i the only one that saw this in animeflv, and lost a lot of time syncronicing?
