Not sure what role does the bracket has. It is no way connected to the battery. I just could not put it back since bracket is difficult to place back and then the screws kept falling while putting it back. I hope that would be ok. I have tightened the battery screws though. What a moronic design!

After what I went through there is NO way to hold a phone AND lift it out.
