As far as I know the Y/Triangle aerial attack with red buff does do more mounting damage, since each slash counts towards the mount. The B/Circle aerial with red buff only does mounting damage on the last hit that launches you back up
Great guide! i am a greatsword main learning how to use the insect glaive to its fullest. This video definitely showed me some a lot more ways to use to the weapon.
I was curious if you have any good combination of armour for high rank cos i am using defender armour and i just beat nerigante and was not sure whoch armour to use
I haven't touched World in a few months but I think pre Iceborne the Drachen set (Fight behemoth questline) was good for Glaive specifically. Otherwise any armor set that gives general attack stats, especially as most of the skills are relatively negligible when going into G rank since the starter stuff there is much better than Base End game.
@@sebastianscott8317 Yes it's hard but not impossible. Its endgame high rank I believe, but working with general elder dragon armor is fine to get you through the endgame
Hey, does Iceborn dlc add some od the attacks? I have recently started playing with insect glaive and unfortunatelly I lack some of attack moves. It seems I can't use mid air claw and charge my kinsect. Or I do something wrong?
Yes! I left these out of the video since there were a lot of changes iceborne made and honestly I didn’t think these videos were going to get many views. Iceborne added the claw function on the slinger, where base game slinger could launch ammo for various purposes, and the iceborne clutch claw grappling is dlc specific. All weapons were given a claw attack on top of being able to use the claw with your weapon sheathed. There are also 1-2 moves I believe for every weapon that iceborne added. Sorry for leaving this out, and let me know if you have any other questions!
@@TheCzezio I would say if you have the money it is 500% worth it. Iceborne adds sooooo much to the base game and in my opinion is the better half of the game. I would definitely recommend buying iceborne
The ponytail is from a mod off the Nexus called Longer Ponytail Hairstyle (Post-Iceborne) uploaded by UberGrainy. if you were wondering about the blue hair in the Thumbnail, the long braids are the Female Oolong head piece.

That makes sense thank you!
Great guide for someone trying to learn the weapon and all its unique mechanics!
Thank You!
