As is the nature of the beast, the backup band doesn't get as much attention and not to take anything away from Molly who is phenomenal, but all these musicians are phenomenal and what we are seeing is a combination of wonderfulness from all of them, one of the best bluegrass/folk bands ever

Does Shelby rock or does she rock? Not taking away any glory from Molly but Shelby is great on that double base and singing in harmony with Molly, always smiling and happy. Her rendition as the Mad Hatter in the groups video of the White Rabbit deserved an Emmy award. Molly..... words can't describe what a great singer and musician she is. You don't know how lucky you are to be able to go to these Bluegrass Concerts. (Newgrass is what i have heard the new talent call it) Going to a traditional music concert here in Northern Ireland is called going to a "Shindig". Except for a few, I lost interest in Country music because of the so-called new artists of the past years. Horrible in general (like all genres have been). It sure isn't like the great decade of the 90s. However, here and there, I find artists and look into them and find some great stuff.

I love how Molly just bursts out on stage and jumps right into the song. It shows she is confident, well rehearsed and professional. And she has nice legs!
Thanks for recording and uploading this performance.... I finally got a chance to watch/listen to the entire video.... I like Kyle's "explanation" of why his name is the same as Molly's....methinks it was a nod to Jack White, who also played that festival. Also, could you tell if there were a lot of newbies in the crowd? I'm quite sure whatever newbies were there, they had to be totally blown away by the level of musicianship of the entire band!!
I’m sure some folks sitting by the bar or getting shade at tables around edge of the tent were new to Molly but I’m pretty sure most everyone who made a point to walk all the back from main stages to the bluegrass tent early enough to grab standing space on the floor in front of the stage - and it was packed straight to the back - were there for Molly. And welcome. :-)

Molly T, you inspire me every time I see a video of you. Interesting that you play a dreadnought, rather than a smaller guitar with a cutaway. Mind, it might be because you don't need to reach that high, having a mandolin player and a fiddler with you.
Thanks. I agree about the sound but I think it’s just the imperfection of my recording fairly close up in a tent where I was getting acoustic sound, PA sound and bouncing off the walls. Happy it came out as well as it did. Glad you liked it. Means a lot to me. :-)
Regarding the screen....was that a feed of another band playing at the same time? If so, that's kinda lame... I'm not a fan of these festivals where they have multiple stages with several bands playing at the same time or overlapping.... Hinterland did it right where they had 1 stage and each act played one at a time (i was there)... And from what i could tell from the videos, Beach Road did it right as well, but with 2 identical stages side by side.... I assume when 1 band was playing on one stage, the crew was setting up the the other, so there wasn't a long wait between acts....and the festival goers didn't have to move from stage to stage since they were next to each other....
I loathed the screen, too. This was the bluegrass tent in back of the main grounds. The two main stages were side by side with alternating acts. Went well. Just wished they’d get rid of that screen.
I'm wondering about the backstage screen/projection... Is it meant to annoy the audience or the current band on stage or maybe both? Whoever invented that - fire them! Otherwise really great show :)

Who in the world thinks it is acceptable to have a full screen of ads running in a background. I would have refused to play the set. Obnoxious capitalism!!
