I've been wanting to have this hair color for YEARS, I live in a tiny town with no one I trust to do this, I've never put any bleach or coloring on my hair so I'm sceptical, but wish I lived near you! Your such a pro!

Looks great!! I’m always afraid my shadow root will get too dark if I use a level 6! I don’t want all the blondes covered up! Does 10 minutes prevent that from happening?
Diane Thompson maybe use some clear as well so it doesn’t grab too quick and too dark.
It just depends on the clients natural base level. If they are a level 6 naturally, it will be stunning, but you def don’t want to root tap a 6N on a natural level 7 or 8.. it will just look funny.
So if they are a natural level 6, and you a apply, say a 6N on their wet hair at the bowl, it’s going to just soften and blend the highlights. It’s not going to take them all the way to a 6 bc the hair is wet (which diluted and slows the processing) and prob lifted to a 9/10, so there isn’t enough background pigment in the formula for it to darken the prelightened hair completely. Because to darken the prelightened hair completely, you would have to fill first.
I hope that makes sense... it’s late at night here and my brain is fried lol, but I hope that at least helps a little!

Redken is real hard to get hold of here in the Uk. Can anyone recommend a good substitute? 😊
I find the redken page uk,in my case in greece, and i call them.i got now the shades eq in my salon.
Can try matrix? I use they’re colours and swear by them
