Hey gang!
I am so pleased with how this came out, which is a good thing because this episode was outstanding and deserves only the highest offerings. But also I forgot how much more effort animating music videos takes compared to regular animation. Oopsies. Hope you enjoy!

rhyming "cancer" and "give a damn sir" is some of the most insane shit zach has done
Same energy as Mansion and Wisconsin
there was no-where else to go, it takes me SO LONG to think of howto even pronounce the zodiac constellation SAGITTARIUS.
I'm sweating even thinking about it.
@@roidroidyou're a Sagittarius, it shouldn't (even?) work with/between us? (English is my second language)
@@Illuminaturee Saggitarius = 🐎
@@Illuminaturee Given the rest of what was going on in the song there, I'd go with something like "Sagittarius / Grab a saddle and she'll carry us."
And, for reference, it's pronounced "sa-ji-TAIR-ee-us." Like "sad" without the D, "jig" without the G, "stair" without the S, "see" without the S, and then I guess "business" without the "busin-", because that last vowel is what we call a "schwa" -- it's barely pronounced at all.
God you did such a banger job capturing the energy of not only Zach, but the horse girl that had possessed him to infodump during that session
crazy
It was Brendalizabeth that possessed him.
Absolutely! Amazeballz work!
Okay, but seriously, how has nobody mentioned that deep blue ink voluntarily chose to animate a segment in which he not only has to DRAW a horse, he also has to successfully ANIMATE a horse. Thank you so much for your service, sir
While it seems appropriate to commend DBI for animating a horse, I can’t shake the feeling that to do so encourages a self-destructive behavior.
Genuinely, I think the horse animation isn't getting more comments because it's done so well that It doesn't draw attention to itself (DRAW ATTENTION hyuk hyuk knee-slap)
Jacob could never
@@MothyaveJacob horse is magnificent. The way it majestically slithers across the ground, dragging it's vestigial limbs across the ground is a sight to behold
I could never. Hats off to you, DeepBlueInk
Autism be damned my girl can ride side saddle and other side saddle.
I hope DBI does an Animated version of "Two Fisherman discuss their Scar Stories" next.
Yeah of course haha probably coming mid January so lie and subscry
@@DeepBlueInk eat hot chip lie and subscry
Recommend Zac Oyama as “Sommelier Who’s Never Tasted Wine”
@@DeepBlueInk I scribbledibbled a while back so we're all good. But seriously, Brennan involved segments are cash-money.
Also Brennan Lee Mulligan as “The Ghost of Saint Patrick’s Day Past”
It's the one closeup of the actual, real horse that did it for me. Perfectly timed photos in an otherwise entirely animated piece of media always make me lose it
And it's one less horse I had to draw!
Where is that, btw? Looking for it in the vid, not quite finding it.
@@lesbaguette4381Between 0:48 - 0:50. I can’t be more specific because of scrubbing
@@lesbaguette4381 About 48 seconds in. You gave me another reason to repeat the clip so I could get the right time. ;o)
I love that they were all in fact words. This proves Zach does not know what he is saying because spirits speak through him. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
it really did feel like he was possessed by the horse girl
I feel rhyming "binder" with "find her" is very underrated
the way you were able to artistically communicate Horsegirl having horse-like eyes in the parts where she's whinnying when the characters already have dot eyes is just...insane levels of talent
she was briefly possessed by the spirit of Horse
Maybe she’s barn with it…Maybe it’s neighbelline.
There needs to be a reaction other than laughter and rage for great puns. Because I feel both so strongly, neither quite captures it ^_^
Zack's second verse kills me every time. I'm so excited for this!
That neigh animation killed me!!!
I love Sam's presence in these because it makes him out to be some sort of semi-omnipresent trickster being that is sustained by the chaos of the scenarios he forces people to take part in.
Are we sure he's not?
The "Hoooorrrrsse" animation is flawless
I think this might your best one so far, man. The animation at the chorus was smooth as fuck.
Aaa thank you for saying so!!!
As a horse girl, I feel this incredible, indescribable mix of offense and awe if Zac really came up with this *on the spot*. There are no words; I can only neigh 🐴
when he launched into the second verse I, out loud, cried "THERE'S A SECOND VERSE???"
you really captured the mad genius here, good job drawing all those horses
hoOoOoOorses*
Personally love how Zach said three things that horses can do and they all basically mean the same thing: horse go fast.
I love everything but the "I'm obsessed with this subject and I'll make it everyone else's problem" eye twitch has a special place in my heart ❤️
Pretty sure Billy would be genuinely up for recording this.
Hats off to the subtitler for putting in a small picture of a horse. 🐎
My favorite of that entire episode, an absolute equestrian jam, sir.
Such a bop ❤️ and of course thank you for the donations AGAIN TDD
I am ready to receive this animation and store it in the warehouse of my mind. Gon' put it right by my collection of squirrel memes.
You could say, you're gonna squirrel it away
@@sonablomYe
A place of honor!
I’m so happy there’s a Jacob horse in there. Also that the sheer amount of horses you had to draw here is one more way of flexing on Jacob
The shoulders moving to the beat, the horses galloping - this was absolutely amazing.
For a brief moment, Zach was possessed by the spirit of Tina Belcher and it was truly glorious
I haven't seen this episode, did Zack really just come up with it on the spot? Did he have NO time to prepare at all?! Even if he had just 3 minutes, that's BEYOND impressive. People who're just okay at improv are still so talented, but this crew from Make Some Noise... their creativity is on a whole other level! And naturally, so is yours DBI.
Also, this could be a theme song for Tina Belcher. ♥
Yeah! He got to choose the track based on title alone and then just flew straight into it. The whole episode is very good if you've got/are thinking about getting Dropout
Dropout Is soooo worth it.
Zach's specialty is musical improv, there's a whole dropout show where they improvise an entire musical each episode.
@@bufar Don't forget where it all started. The Official Cast recording of Mountport is so good honestly worth rewatching dozens of times.
He has a podcast with Jess Mackenna where they improvise an entire musical every week! It’s called Off Book. It’s unfortunately coming to a close but there are hundreds of episodes in the archive.
The face during “hoooorse” is incredible. It’s so simplistic but captures the energy perfectly
i love how at the end zach’s like “some of those words werent words” even though they were definitely words
Sensational
I love how, for a split second, she just looks so utterly disappointed with herself right after the horse noises.
Zach: "When the subtitling team has problems, just put in little pictures of horses."
DBI: [takes notes]
(Jabob Horse cameo, my beloved)
Horses lead to unicorns lead to pegasus lead to alicorns. Some of us never outgrew their love of horses. *Swishes ponytail*
THIS WAS IMPROVED?? HELLO??? WHY IS IT SO GOOD??
DEEP BLUE JUST MADE AN ACTUAL MUSIC VIDEO FOR THIS AND IT'S THE GREATEST THING I'VE SEEN TODAY
You need to get dropout. Make some noise, and Game Changer alone are worth it. Then if you like RPGs... They have those too (Which I am underselling).
you should listen to his podcast "Off Book" Zach and Jess are incredible music improvisers.
@@corneliusdriscoll563I'll have to seriously consider it because I don't think I can't get DROPOUT😅
He says some of those words weren't words, but actually the whole song was fully coherent, from a syntactic standpoint. Semantic, on the other hand...
The characters bouncing up and down to the beat is so subtle but I frickin LOVE it.
I really hope Dropout or Sam himself are supporting your Patreon because - my god - you keep making the advertisments for them.
you drew so many good horses for this animation!!!! also i love the pose the girl makes when she's showing off the horse poster XD
0:24 Jacob Horse shows up for a second, and that's good. :)
@@salenstormwingomg Jacob Horse 🥺
I think this was a silent flex on Jacob XD
I don’t listen to billie eilish so i just thought in between some drawfee and game changer animations you just dropped a music video for some reason
To be fair he has done music videos for Bug Hunter
The sudden appearance of a real horse was surprisingly terrifying in this ode to Tina Belcher
Okay, while that is not my favorite Make-Some-Noise song, it is genuinely incredible that Zack pulled off those lyrics on the spot. Also the animation really adds *so much* to the energy of it. ❤
Also, shout out to the unsung MVP on the keyboard.
She's not a cancer, but if she was, she would be the one about horses, WHAT'S SO DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT THAT????
THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING
It keeps appearing on my recommended page and I keep watching it every time.
I like to think that when Zach did that disclaimer at the top of the episode that Karaoke isn't an improve thing, and then he he improves this banger and sang it like he's actually reading the words.
YES you captured exactly the vibe of that song so perfectly. im losing my mind over this, its so good!
edit: i love how Zach is like “some of those weren’t words” because he’s wrong, it all makes sense. it makes it more impressive imo.
When I watched it originally on Dropout I went back and listened a second time with the subtitles to see what I missed. Nope, just words!
Yeah, I did a double take too and was like "I understood every word, did I miss something?" Zach is so insanely talented even he doesn't realize how good he is! 😮
i guess there's a thing better than words then. They found them.
This animation and song live rent free in my head
For real, for weeks I've been going "what's this song in my head?" and then I get to "horrrrrse girl" and start laughing. Zach is a genius and this video has brought that genius to a whole new level!
mr ink, I don’t know how, but during the horse girl neighs, you accurately captured the foal eyed manic look all horse girls I’ve ever met possessed. brilliant job, I’m in awe and perhaps a little afraid
Horse girls are just a different breed
Zach and Aaron already did a hilarious song but this animation elevates it to a point I can't even comprehend. She's adorable and I would die for her.
Holy shit, I'm so glad you decided to open the floodgates with Dropout content. I love me the classic drawfee animations but there's so much in just these karaoke episodes. The beastie boys duet I'm holding out hope will join these hallowed ranks of animated goodness soon.
That shimmy really gets to me. Credit to Aaron (keyboardist) and the artists of Karaoke Nights: These songs get stuck in my head so much! I had "Let's get a dog" stuck in it for weeks.
Oh my goodness this was outstanding. That hoooooorse animation was sooo good. But also like the energy of the animation just matched the energy of the song. And the appearance of the horse girl was spot on. Time to watch this a couple more times.
What I love about this song is that listening to it I feel like I'm actually on a horse, specifically one that gets spooked by its own shadow.
I watched with subtitles on to see if there were little horse pictures. I’m pleased to say, the subtitler did a fantastic job, no horses required.
There was also a horse though.
That's bonus horse content.
Like honestly 3-4 times a day at this point. The animation. The improv. Chefs kiss.
At some point, I forgot this was a parody and was just jamming out wishing I had a horse to side saddle, or other side saddle.
This is incredible, and the subtitler's joke after the joke about subtitles was *mwah*
I’ve listened to this several times and can confirm all of those words were words
The constant, subtle eye twitching in this is awesome. Along with everything else.
Big Tina Belcher energy
No matter how many times I watch this, youtube always has it in my recommended videos list
I just...I just can't with these, it's the absolutely best, and seeing it animated like this is just the cherry on top!
Thank you for putting a 🐎in the subtitles, means a lot.
Sometimes you watch someone absolutely CRUSH the thing they are really good at and it's so satisfying. I felt that watching Zach destroy this prompt and again watching this awesome animation. Such a good job dude!
He was so real when he said "the key to musical improv? Just keep going"
Half of that song didn't fit the rhythm at all but he sang with so much confidence you wouldn't notice at all on your first listen
Thats quite a skill
I love all of the different horse designs, they all look friend shaped
the 3 karaoke episodes are the best things dropout has ever done
the jacob horse cameo at 1:36 is the cherry on top of this incredible music video
I'm in a meeting and can't watch this with sound right now, and I haven't seen the episode this is off of, but with subtitles I think I know EXACTLY what this sounds like. Back in 30 to see if I'm right!
Setting an alarm
@@DeepBlueInk I was. SO CLOSE! xD I did not anticipate the voice.
as a former horsegirl, this was terribly accurate to listen to, but the visual really nails it. there is an *intensity* to being that into horses, man, & it really shows in the expressions.
I can't believe you would do all this epic horse-ness just to spite and dunk on Jacob who can and must only (by double marriage binding contract or otherwise) draw a Jacob horse.
I'm not sure why but "use volleyballs" sends me every time I think about it
Like, that's such a weird phrase
It's no secret but I think music videos are where you really flex. Between this and the Bug Hunter vids, you really go hard man. Great job!
I have watched this multiple times, but just turned on captions for the first time. I am both a person who uses captions sometimes and also works in closed captioning for live television. I just want to say that I absolutely love how you captioned this and its absolutely hilarious
I just want to comment that the dab in the first verse is impeccable
I love the just actual picture of the horse that flashes up! what a great improv moment
I've already watched the original so many times, i know I'm going to be watching this on repeat, too. I love your representation of our beloved horse girl, especially the "side saddle" bit 😂
The walk down notes paired up with the four different shots of horses between the first and second verses killed me. I love animated music videos, and this was especially funny since my bff is a horse girl! Wonderfully done DBI!
Ah yes, time to clear my schedule for the next 20 minutes so I can watch this on repeat and pause my favorite parts, Go back to watch the original, then come back here to watch it a few more times
Canter
I have watched this video so many times, and I giggle every single time. My life is enriched by this video. Thank you!
I dont know why but i just love the shoulder sway she does
Every time they say "hooooorse guurrl" it's like they are dying inside, or.... visibly losing HP. Hard to describe, but somehow still equally sad.
This is such a great song the astrology girlie in me didn't even realize at first that he said Cancer was the horse when it's actually Sagitarius.
One of my favorite things these days is watching some of these shorts or Drawfee episodes and wondering when or which bit I'll see turned into a DBI animation. The next favorite thing is seeing the animation because I never quite know where its gonna go
I come back to this video so often, the visuals with Zach's amazing improv lives in my head rent free.
Not a SINGLE Jacob Horse to be seen. Powerful to draw only real horses.
Goodness gracious, you did an outstanding job with this one. Very glad to see the Jacob Horse-sized Easter egg.
i love the strategic cropping of the horse legs I see you
This is delightful. I always get a kick out of the way DBI draws Sam, delighted to be a part of whatever nonsense is happening.
only the highest of kudos to you for not only drawing multiple horses, but also ANIMATING one
dbi youre one of our strongest soldiers
Honestly this and Ross doing Tom Waits singing about Sisyphus are my all time favorites
Jacob Drawfee in awe of all of your horses
Man, this and to do list are probably some of my top favorite improv kareoke songs on gamechanger. This one's just such quick thinking and the other is just genuinely good. I swear, Zach is one of the world's greatest minds.
I have watched this half a dozen times and expect to watch it again before the day is through
Everyone knows a horsegirl, and they are exactly like this. The accuracy.
the real image of the horse right in the middle was perfect
thank you for *fully subtitling the entire song*
The tiny dab after throwing the horse figurines LMAOO
Zach is so quick on the draw! One of my favorite examples is his "Wetzel's Pretzels" song from the Off Book podcast (ep. 2 at 34:31). At the time I first heard it, I had never encountered such fast-tempo musical improv before, and it completely blew my mind
"Horse Girl" is even more technically impressive than that song though!
never going to get over how neighing seems to actively drain the life out her, like an ability simply far too powerful to be used regularly
The horse that looks like it realized "it's always been wankersham" is my favorite horse. 😂❤
