I purchased the 1st gen AirPods Pro, and it was a very expensive way to find out that I hate the feeling of in-ear headphones. I tried all different sizes and types of tips and none of them felt comfortable enough to wear for extended periods. I've been exclusively using the AirPods 3, so the AirPods 4 with ANC is a welcome change.
@@PatrickRambles may I ask you a question regarding the AirPods 4 case? Do you experience extreme battery drainage? As in 10% or more WITHOUT using the AirPods? So, like when they’re in the case. Completely full already. But the case keeps draining a good amount of battery for idk what reason. But yeah! I’m asking because I’m experiencing it. And to me, that does NOT look normal at all. So yeah! I want to know if it happens to you too . If it does, then what did you do to fix the issue? Then I guess this is normal
I agree with you, but I'm confident that the basic version will be the top Christmas present for all kids. Millions will be sold. If you buy the kids' ANC version, they will immediately switch on the ANC to not hear their parents. 🙂
Anc comes in REALLY handy. Especially if you have annoying parents. They say things you just don’t want to hear. And it’s not helping either. So I just turn on anc to drown out what they’re saying in the meantime 😂
I bought the AirPods 4 with ANC and it was well worth the upgrade from the AirPods 3. The fit and feel of them is much better. They sound better and they don’t fall out of my ears. The only thing they are missing is the hearing test. I would have loved to play around with that just for fun to see what I would have gotten. If they add them to the AirPods 5 then I may have to upgrade again.
I really hate that Apple didn‘t integrate the volume control on the stem for the AirPods 4. It‘s such a simple but immensely useful feature. Most earbuds have it, even cheap ones. And it‘s definitely feasible, they did it on the pros. Almost a dealbreaker for me tbh.
Thanks for a great video Patrick I must say for the last two years I’ve been struggling with the AirPods Pro. I hate the silicone tips. I hurt my ears after about two hours so I bought the AirPods for with noise, cancellation and they are a dream come true for me. I can wear them for hours and they’re so light and comfortable and they stay in my ears with no problem, but here’s the hot take. I actually think the sound quality for me is better on the AirPods 4 sound seems louder and crisper and richer to me, so I am a huge fan of the AirPods 4
Btw I rate the thumbnail I think it’s great. I saw your post on twitter about how you’re testing the waters with your thumbnails and this takes the cake. Different to what you’ve done before but really eye catching. I hope others feel the same way and the views pick up 💛
I think the biggest thing about the entry level AirPods 4 is that they aren’t an upgrade for the AirPods 3. They replace the AirPods TWO. And anyone going from AirPods 2 to AirPods 4 will LOVE them. Spatial Audio alone is worth the upgrade.
One thing i think your missing is that the app2 are consistently on sale on amazon for $189, which would make it a no brainer paying $10 dollars more to get them rather than the airpods 4 with anc
No volume controls , no charging cable in the box , no conversation awareness definitely not better anc than app2 , so the choice is clear for me , ill gladly keep my air pods pro 2 which often are on sale for 200$!!!
You would really benefit from the AirPods 4 with ANC. Save yourself some cash in the process. They have everything you’re missing except the volume controls.
@@EricasTouch like i said airopds pro 2 are frequently on sale brand new for 200$ so for 20$ more i get volume controls , a charging cable ,much better ANC and sound so 180$ for air pods 4 with ANC doesn’t make sense !!!
I cannot find this answer anywhere. Perhaps you may be able to tell me. I don't really care for ANC. I'm considering getting these for convenient things like nodding yes to answer a call when my hands are occupied and the voice isolation feature. My airpods 3 pick up soooo much background noise when I'm on calls for work and I constantly have to switch. Do I have to get the airpods with ANC to be able to use this feature or will it also come with the regular AirPods 4?
I have preorder my Airpods 4 with ANC and honestly , i am very sastifynd with these earbud and i wear this , i take in bus , metro , train instead of my other intra earbuds because , one of my favourite pleasure is the abily to wear this during whole period of time without leave it and replace in my ear
Btw does it come refurbished? Whenever you buy AirPods for cheaper, it usually means it’s refurbished but doesn’t usually say it on the website, so is it?
I have the Pros from the beginning and I like the features but I hate the fit. They fall of my ears, regardless what I do or what tip I use. So I went crazy when the 4s where announced. I bought them right away on launch day. The features are great but what should I say… …they really hurt in my ears. These are the first standard Earbuds I have problems with. It is the bigger black „line“ itching and scratching my ear almost instantly when I put them in. So prolonged usage is impossible for me. So I still have to arrange myself with popping out of my ears Pros.
@@PatrickRambles Thanks for your reply. I really have a bunch of headphones. I generally use the pros as long as I dont move, sweat or chew much they work with memory foam tips. The Max have the greatest sound of all, but they are much to heavy for my liking to use them on the go but they are my go to headphones at home when sitting on my couch when activly enjoy my media. On the go or on flights I love my Beats Studio. They basically have all I want. Good Sound and ANC, lossles Audio with a cable, USB-C, an off-Switch and a good compact case and packaging size. But they sadly lack Features like conversation detection, adaptive audio and automatic pause when you take them off. I also dont Like the feel, when im exerzising. They are much to sweaty. The 4s will not work for me. So I‘ll have headphones for different occations. With using the Pros most the time despite their disadvantages

I have the Pro 2 but I lost the case and in Europe it's 109€, but the Airpods 4 cost 150€ and 200€ with ANC. I bought today the 4 for 41€ more than the case of the Pro 2. I will wait to see if I will find a 2nd hand case
I just bought the Airpods Pro 2 after using my wife's. These are easily the best earpods I've tried and if you can get them at a discount I would highly recommend them if they fit your ears. Great review and a sub from me.
I just bought the no ANC version because I don’t use ANC often and while they are still amazing I wish I could return them and just get the ones with ANC but target is dumb and not letting me even after I called and they said I could
I appreciate the breakdown of the three. I was wondering what the difference is between each of them. I am an AirPods Pro person just for the volume control and the tips. I use a third party memory foam type replacement tips. They seem to stay in my ears better. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for this one Patrick, been waiting for your analysis and breakdown, which as confirmed to me that I should Stick to my pro 2s as I really do like the ear buds and how they keep them in my ears.
