Duh. any printer will require maintenance. The Bambu printers require waaaaaay less then say an ender 3

If you want something a little cheaper I would go with ender3 v3 se not as good as x1carbon it cante go as fast and can only print one color but it’s pretty big has direct drive and auto leveling
Also the A1 it’s basically the best budget printer

They don’t tell you that the extruder clogs easily, the lidar system can’t detect that it isn’t putting down a first layer and the filament feed system is faulty. If it worked as promised all the time it would be amazing.

Cool, you pay $1,500 for a proprietary box and learn nothing about 3D printers.
I got fed up with my Ender 5 Pro and picked up one of these. I will probably do a Mercury one.1 upgrade on the Ender 5 because I don’t want to get rid of it, but the goal of the X1 Carbon is to print things, not for you to learn about printers. I get people being upset at that, but I also see it as being great to make it more accessible.

Sure but i don’t want my print files going via a chinese server. Nor do I want a 3d printer to have access to my wifi traffic.
The thing is... Creality has a far more s sus cloud service and people still use that. And creality is still chinese and their printers still connect to wifi and have same capabilities of tracking your wifi traffic.
Just remember bamboo Labs is a really bad history of needing to recall their product
If your referring to the A1 that printer came out after the X1C, so I imagine if they needed to recall the X1C they would of done it by now

Built a whole vzbot just to be faster than this thing so now i have a 330x330x400 printer that has both higher speed and accel

with just one ams you can do 4 color's, however you can daisy chain 4 ams's so that you can do up to 16

Yeah, best if You get a working machine. If anything is wrong good luck with the support 😂 I had to go though bank to get my money back. Never buying from them again. The printer has potential but the customer service is just horrible 😐

Ender 5 Plus is where it’s at… you can also get a big tree tech Mainboard upgrade to do some crazy speeds
I’m reaching 400-500mm/s with only a mainboard swap, no issues at all hardware wise
I have 50kg/100+ pounds of filament through it no issues
These new printers coming out are a dark path to proprietary parts, and only get you closer to a paper printer that is locked down with their own softwares

if mainboard is the only upgrade you did then there is no way you are printing at 400 -500mm/s maybe travel speeds but you defo aint printing at those speed if you've only upgraded the mainboard

one of the best but at the same time ...one of the worst for the community ...closed source is curse that will happen and ruin innovation and evolution of theese machines (also bambu x1c is just copy of 2014 AluXY by "Zelogik" but somehow bambu labs went and close source it as their own design)
I agree what bambu did is basically come in and make a voron but all in one without having to source the parts or print the parts yourself and then have the cheek to make it all close source
