- Can you live without cupholders?
I'm working on another wacky little project in my 1999 Honda Civic HX Coupe (a.k.a. Slambo). It's a modified console. If you own an EK and want to add gauges, you might want to check this out.

Do you know, here in Britain, I've never used my cupholders to actually hold a cup. It's only when I make one of my frequent trips to the States, that I use a cupholder for its intended purpose.
Oh, and how low is Slambo compared to the car next to you!?
Nice! How common are drive through windows in Britain?
Slambo is sitting next to a Hyundai Ioniq. It's approximately 4 inches to the bottom of Slambo's hardware store side skirts, 8 inches to the Ioniq.
They generally give you one of their card-carton cupholders when you go to the drive through and get drinks, if they don't offer I just ask to get one. To clarify, it's not a British trait not to put drinks in holders, it's entirely me, my own peculiarity. When in the States though, whether in my gf's Prius C or a rental if we have one for travelling, the cupholders are used pretty much constantly.
I sat in an Ioniq EV recently - possible replacement for when my Renault Zoe goes back - I was surprised and impressed by it.
So, now the question is, did you happen to park next to this particular Ioniq or have you actually been driving it? An MPG stunt drive in an Ioniq hybrid would be pretty cool.

Did you ever pull through with the cupholder project? Dont see any videos on it
It’s about 75% done. I parked the Civic a while back and haven’t had the time to work on it. Hoping to get to it this Spring.
