Hello all,
Welcome to a Melbourne heritage train video. Today we head part-way down the Hurstbridge line to capture the heritage Tait set on a charter. The Eaglemont Village hosts an annual Heritage Day with a gathering of market stands on Silverdale Rd, adjacent to the station. A main component of the event now involves the Red Rattler operating shuttles between Eaglemont and Clifton Hill, via Heidelberg. This year, Elecrail brought out four carriages of the preserved Tait train and ran seven return shuttles from Eaglemont, along with two one-way transfer trains from Flinders Street.
In this video we begin at Flinders Street Station, capturing the arrival and departure. After we begin our coverage on the shuttles between Heidelberg and Clifton Hill.

Elecrail is a subsidiary of Steamrail Victoria who primarily looks after the electric rolling stock in the fleet. Due to the need for electrified lines, their tours are either full-day suburban rambler-style tours or shuttles.
