Yeah, I like it to. When Miku and Kanami had those "similar" maid outfits then Miku's 100% perfect outfit made Kanami's look a bit sloppy. OK, she looked cute in her to, but everything is relative. This is more bad ass.

Yeah it was time for her to evolve the outfit. I love the Gothic look and slimmed down bow. Even Miku added some Gothic elements. Rock and Roll royalty for sure.

I was there. Yokohama Arena was *the* show to be at. Huge stage, the biggest light show (green/Kanami and purple/MISA for this song). 33 songs of the Maids at the absolute top of their game.
Also that Saiki solo song was *chef’s kiss*. I cried.

You hit the nail right on the head Alex. Wave has such a knack for getting all the way down in the weeds to pick out subtle........and not so subtle tendencies and points that a lot of reactors don't get down and dirty with. But he puts it in such a clean and simple way that even people who aren't well versed in music. Me, I know just enough to get myself into trouble. One thing I will say, subscribing and listening to so many reactors on YT has increased my musical knowledge a hundred-fold over the last five or six years, where I can recognize things I never would have before. Much thanks to Wave, Ryan Mear, Chase Carneson, the Gaijin Guys, NitPicc, Grumpy Old Man, Bob Sixx, Ohrenje and a host of others I can't remember at the moment.

I saw hundreds of good to great bands. I discovered tons of great bands new to me (especially from Japan) the last years, but every release, every show, every listen to a CD proves me again and again, that none comes close to this miraculous five wimen. After a few listens to other bands the urge rises to switch to B-M again. I got the Mincho Fever and I accept there will be no cure, I‘ll die with it … but not yet😊

I was at this concert and I have to say. Seeing them live is one thing...but going to one their larger concerts like this where they can break out all of stops and you can just feel the energy in the air...it is surreal and really just something else. I got emotional several times and will always remember that experience. If you have a chance to attend a large concert like this in Japan for Band-Maid, DO IT. I did this for both TGT and Yokohama Arena and it was worth every penny!

Hi Wave. Always love watching your video on BAND-MAID. Yeah, I was there in the 'room' for about 3.5 hours along with 15,000 BAND-MAID fans that night. Definitely, Yokohama Arena concert was one of the best performances by the group. As I was walking back to the train station after the show recapping the energy and emotion, I realzed that I hurt my left knee. I remember SAIKI saying, "Guys, I highly recommend that you sit down during the talk part! We're not even half way through!!" I guess she was right...The pain lasted for about a week, but it served as the reminder that I was there in the 'room' that night.

I especially loved the bright lights during the post chorus. The sound was just explosive. I couldn't figure out if it was a trigger that Akane was hitting or just a China cymbal. Effective anyway I absolutely love this performance but I miss the explosive nature of the first live release.❤.

There is a huge Number. Nemiphila, Lovebytes. But not quite as competent as Bandmaid, they are simply overqualified since most of there members can compose theirbown songs, while Kanami (1. Guitar) writes their songs. But it is quite normal that Misa (Bass) determines that in parts of the song she could bezter support another instrument. And then Akane (Drums) starts to modify her play also. And Miku writes by default her lyrics and also modifies her 2. Guitar) only Saki normally doesn't write too much. And wenigstens not forget the International most successfull fusion project, Babymetal also they pnly use a lead singer + 2 Background singer and Dancers and a Background Band, that normally only Container males. But while they Server big venues since more than 10 years Bandmaid can only Server bigger venues since 2 years. Peevious their standard sie were 300 people while Babymetal Entertainer 60.000 people even 10 ,ears ago.

Sorry, your interruptions from the battle between Kanami and Missa are ruining your response. Why don't you listen to the whole thing before you start interpreting and replaying it? The whole atmosphere of the solo no longer comes across.

Why would you come and check to a reaction channel to listen to the musicvideo? The original video is right there on there channel. I personally prefer reactors who talk about something instead of just watching the video, say "that was great" and go on the a new video. If you watch reactions to watch the original video, you are doing it wrong and be fair, chances are you already know the video like the song like the back of your hand anyway.
Also, nothing wrong with comparing bands or talking about what it reminds you off. I am sure Band-Maid would be thrilled being compared to some of the greats in rock and metal. If you want reactors that just steal the bands content by saying 1 word after playing through the whole song and call it a day, just go to their channels. There are plenty of them out there. Please leave some musician reactors for people who actually want to hear what the reactor thinks of a song/performance and has something interesting to say. Btw, it's Misa, not Missa.
Please don't make reactors stop reacting to Band-Maid because you only want to have a reaction exactly how you like it, there is space for multiple types of reactors. And while that is obviously not going to happen with Wave, it will with channels who are just starting to react to the Japanese scene (especially the bigger ones who don't need the drama and can cut any band easily). I have seen it more than once with fanbases of Japanese bands and I would hate to see it happen to Band-Maid too. The Band-Maid fanbase was by and large pretty accepting from my experience. Your comments reflect on the band you are a fan off.

@@MaartenT Oh dear, sorry I spelled the name wrong. (Thanks to the tab keyboard).
I like his analyses, they are among the very good ones here. He can also interrupt, I always ask myself, with sections like solos, for example, who interprets something about it if it hasn't been heard to the end. I mean the section, not the whole song. All this and much more that he said in the interruptions can also be said in an interruption after this section.
Reactors who only say at the end, "Hey great song. I'll just watch it, click my thumb. Because they are also needed to make the Bands know

      @MaartenT 10 месяцев назад

      @@Oldmarty
That sounds more reasonable than I got out of your first comment. Nothing wrong with not liking the reaction, I understand the criticism, it's more than leaning into the reactor is generally a good way to have them never react to the band ever again. It just makes me worried because I have seen similar things in fanbases of other Japanese bands and I think they all can use each other and all the help they can get to try and push further in the West.
As far as reactors who only say 1 sentence, I typically ignore them once I notice the pattern. Yes, they push the bands songs, but I just prefer more substantial comments. I know there are plenty of people who like those though and either want to hear as many reactions as possible or just prefer to listen to the song that way. To each their own.

If reading don't get them there's just no excuses. Especially as I think it's a Live Nation festival. Except they have been avoiding LN festivals in the USA despite hiring LN to run the tours. I expect there was a bit of a power play there, LN wanting a festival monopoly and getting the hairy eyeball from the pigeon.
It's going to be really interesting to see how things work out this year. I expect they're juggling big gigs like festivals but I also expect a support gig or two for a big name. Incubus are obviously an option but I suspect they might want to steal a different set of fans. Perhaps not even a rock act at all. They can slug it out with digital acts because they are so fast, tight, detailed and heavy, especially in front of a young audience who don't have an opinion about rock/metal and are open to what kanami is selling.
Akane in particular stuns drum machine types.
Most rock bands make a virtue out of a degree of slackness but younger ears aren't attuned to that and expect perfection, why artists feel obliged to pitch correct, but no need for that with saiki.

Rather they didn't..as they would be the only band I'll want to see..and having to pay big bucks to see them..I'd rather see them at their own shows.

@@Bodneyblue totally agree with you there. I'm not fond of festivals, especially as I age. I'd rather have a seat and two and a half hours of pure bandmaid. I live in mainland Europe too so would rather see them nearer, though I doubt they'll come to my corner. Going to have to travel.
