I love what you are doing here. First, I can’t imagine how hard this has been to live with. But we seem to be living in a day where we project our scrubbed-up, social media snapshots of what we want people to think out life is when so often - most are struggling, hiding and coping in some measure. So I pray this is not only your healing but the healing for many!

Keith thank you so much. I most certainly feel that this is an important project. It’s also actually been helping me with my treatment. I hope you and the entire family are well.

Firstly. Nice work getting back on the bike and also being able to talk about all this stuff. It’s really hard. Secondly, I can absolutely feel how talking about this helps normalize talking about it for other people too. I hope it’s ok for me to share a personal experience. One of my SAD triggers is when the lighting is wrong in a room, like if the overhead lighting is too harsh or it’s too dark I get upset for seemingly no reason. And then there’s a conflict between the part of my brain that knows that nothing is truly going wrong, and the part of my brain that is freaking out, which adds guilt and confusion.

I can absolutely relate to that. Seasonal Affective Disorder is seemingly commons as well. There are many people who have reached out saying that this affects them so know you aren’t along in that fight. One of the tools I use for mold boosting early in the day is a “mood light” which simulates sunlight. It seems to help me at least.
