I have learned, comparitively, SO much more in this short video, (and I plan to rewatch quite a few times) than I have from the Two books costing me over £35 ($43.35). I am quite handy at a few foreign languages, all studied at University; but the information printed in these books is like a different language, let's face it, it IS, quite a difficult language too, I'm finding it so anyway. Thank you for wafting away some of the fog. I hope to carry on (get back to) with my story writing, my reason for purchasing Word etc.
Hi Ian. That is wonderful! And you are correct, it IS pretty much another language. Since you like languages so much, hope you are having fun learning a new one!
It's so sweet seeing (hope they don't mind me saying) elder people using this video to learn how to use Word. I am preparing a presentation on how to use office/Microsoft 365, I am doing a bit of a deeper dive into Word and the key apps for M365 just to make sure there's no obvious things I'm missing. Thanks for the video. Great Work! 🥳😃
I have subscribed today because there was so much information. At the same time, I could pause the video an try some of the things you were teaching. I truly look forward to completing all your sessions.
Oh I love this. I've been trying to do my own templates as I don't need any of theirs. I think I will just PIN what I want to find often. It's a bummer that you can't just use the insert button to overwrite stuff though, having to keep deleting is annoying. Thank you so much for the help.
Thank you for gave the good information about ms word, and also please provide the new updates in ms word how to use shortcuts to creat the document easy and faster
Yes, if you highlight all the empty space and then click backspace, that should help. The end blinking cursor should be at the end of the text or wherever you want your paper to end. Hope that helps!
HAHA thanks! If it is ever still too fast, there's a setting to slow it down some in RUclips in the settings for the video. But I do agree, this one is especially fast! We have gotten a lot of comments about that on this video. Thanks for watching!
Great question, Bob! If you go to the References ribbon, there is an option in the Citations Group called Style with a dropdown and you can change that option to APA. It should still format your sources correctly, but you may have to add some in if you are changing the format after you have started with the default style. Hope that helps.
Hi. I am not sure exactly what you are asking, could you please clarify? Where do you want the subfolder? In File Explorer? If so, right click in the white space in File Explorer under the folder where you would like the subfolder and go to New|Folder and it should appear.
I am trying to format a document, If I make a paragraph and want to indent the first line of said paragraph I put cursor on the beg of first line and hit tab. Sometimes it just moves the first line to indent it and other times it moves the whole paragraph over under the indented tab. Help Please!
Thanks for the question. Yes, Word can be frustrating with its formatting. Sometimes if you go to the beginning of the second line of the paragraph and adjust the ruler at the top, that can help. Also, sometimes pressing enter at the end of the first line can help as well. But the best way is probably to highlight the whole paragraph and then go to the search bar at the top and type "Clear All Formatting" and then start over.
How do you create an outline on the left side of a Word doc like google docs 2023? It is very easy; all you need to do is change it to heading, but I can't find this option easily on Microsoft Word. Thanks
Thanks for the question! If you go to Design and then Page Borders, you should be able to create a border. Alternatively, you could either draw a line with the Draw Menu or copy and paste the text into a table and then create a border on the left side of the table itself.
I was working on a Word 2021 document, opend it to Word 365, everything is messed up - half a page is on top of half page - and it's in editing mode only - when I switch to viewing mode, everything is fine. - Why? - Thanks in advance
Im lost. I bought Microsoft Office 365. The only way to get to "Word" is from "Outlook -> Apps". When I start word I do not find a way to open a file. When I use the "File -> Open" it doesn't show my C: drive and I cannot navigate to my file. Additionally, if I use file explorer to find the file and try to open it all I get is "Word Pad", not "Word". There is none of the Microsoft apps in my start menu either. So, im stuck. Please advise
Hmmm, that could be several issues. You should have Word automatically with 365. What version of Office 365 did you get? You could also try to uninstall it and reinstall it through control panel. In the meantime, you could use word through your browser at office.com and save it to the cloud.
Good question! When you go to the File Menu, there is an Export option. There should be a button there to save as a PDF. And from File, you can also see the print option. Hope that helps!
Hi Devange. If you select the Table, a ribbon called Layout should appear on the menu. On there, you can enter the column width under the Cell Size group. You can also highlight the column first and then select Layout. Hope that helps!
Hi, Is there any way to add a list of words in ms word, then, when I type any word of the list ,it turns, for example, to red or any chosen colour, or to be underlined. I dont know if you understand my question! Thanx
Yes, you could do this using VBA. We have a consulting service that could help you get started if you would like: www.myexcelonline.com/microsoft-excel-consulting-services/
Yes, that edit was a little quick. Sorry about that! We have slowed them down since. For this one, you could listen on half speed on RUclips if you would like.
Thanks for the question! You could go to the Insert ribbon and choose a Shape and then Rectangle and make the fill transparent and the border any color and thickness you would like.
Hi. Thanks for the question. Do you have the file marked as read only? In File Explorer, if you right click on the document, you can see it is it read only. or, are you using OneDrive and it's someone else's document and they have only given you read permission?
Hi Linat. That's strange! And the margin size shouldn't affect the border. Maybe go to Page Border again and take it off, save the file, close it, and then try putting it back on as a box? Just a starting point for where I would start troubleshooting. Hope that helps.

Could you please explain how to remove extra pages on the end of your document?

What would you like to accomplish in Word 365?
Hi! where can I see the navigation pane? Im using tablet
Hi! Are you using the app or word online?
@@MyExcelOnline Hi! I'm using the app that I downloaded on playstore
The free app? You may need Word 365.
How can I create sub word folders within a main one. Example, Jan-Dec under 2023.

You can go to Home > Paragraph > Border
Thank you for the tutorial. Excellent. I have used MS word for years but in this new version I can not figure out how to save my new document
