  • Watch one of Denver's older diesel trucks cruise through the Friday route in Stapleton district. Many thanks to these fun, skilled workers including the driver, who all put on an entertaining show back in November. I can't stop watching this video lol

    The way they work together, all three, is as a very well oiled machine. Awesome work guys and a big thank you to Scott!

    YOu can tell this team has worked together for a while now. There is some serious smooth sports-like behavior going on here.

    Wow, great job catching these guys in action! It's nice to see that some of these areas are still manual. True teamwork at its best right here. This is how all manual collection should be...between the skilled driver and efficient workers. I bet these guys could run circles around an ASL. Also cool to see one of their older diesel trucks rather than the new CNG. Do you know if they are planning on keeping the diesels around for much longer? Or are they completely changing to CNG? Anyway, great video and good angles too.

      Their transition to natural gas is slow but steady, most of the rear loaders I saw there were new and CNG, and same with the ASLs. Almost no diesel pendpacs anymore--practically all CNG Amrep. Thanks for the comment and sorry for this late response, not sure why I didn't sooner...

    What a team of pros, great example of how manual collection is awesome :D Always enjoy watching a driver and loader(s) working together with skill and natural understanding of how to get the job done efficiently together. Throwing the bins in the hopper and tossing them to the other guy is sweet, one was even there at 4:18 to make sure the bag went where it had to. Loved the second clip of the drive by, firstly with the growling exhaust, but then they made me chuckle at the end of the clip where they cheered at the camera haha

      except the 4:18 bag toss gave him a face full of trash that spilled out of that bag lol. but like with anything, they can only get better from here. thanks for commenting :)

    I’ve been to that area before!! All they use are mini 320 Amreps now, absolutely stoked that you caught this.

    This video has definitely given me a run for my money in the fast, manual action monopoly that I enjoy. This footage goes to show why I'm an RL guy, and precisely why I am against automated collection. The crew showcased here can easily outpace any ASL. They have great style, and show excellent teamwork. Love the city's choice of truck too, it's a great combo and the Pete gave off some nice rumbles. Does the city run any manual collection during the heavy leaf season in late October through mid November? I'm definitely favoriting this vid, keep up the great work.

    Awesome awesome awesome. Can't stop watching this either. Reminds me of out favorite poutine guzzling frenchies, down to the same Formula 5000 packer. Judging by the size and neatness of the setouts this is twice weekly collection? Not that I'm complaining but what't the city's logic behind keeping this area collected manually? Is this method here to stay?

      1x weekly. and all of stapleton, apparently 6500 homes, is going automated this year--so apparently the transition is just slow for some parts of the city. I was thinking about the quebec guys the entire time I filmed...thought I would have to make a trip there to even see something close but nope! thanks for the praise, glad I made this live rather than delaying

    The only thing they use rear loaders for in my neighborhood is overflow pick up every 3 weeks. (I am over by DU) It's nice to see Denver still doing some manual pick ups for now.

    Are there still any manual routes like this?

    • @Trashman242
      @Trashman242  3 года назад +1

      I sure haven't seen one in awhile, so I'm gonna go with "no." they were pretty aggressive with automating but they still do bulk and extras for every household on a rotating schedule with their rear loaders.
