I think the conversation about the Transformers is easily the most insightful thing I've heard from Tim so far.
I loved this whole episode guys. The discussion on The Sopranos and Mad Men was awesome. I have yet to finish Mad Men. I have 2 episodes left and can't wait to see what they do. As for the Dantes Inferno bit, that was a couple of seasons. It was when Don took the kids to Hawaii and had Megan come and be the babysitter, he read it on the beach.
I liked that you changed the topic to video games (metal gear solid) at the end. That would have been a much more interesting topic, at least for myself.

I like the Star Wars Prequels better than the Originals, I like the 4th Indiana Jones, and the Transformers movies. There I said it, some people actually do like those movies.

At first I was only watching Gamescast, but I think this is better. I love the roundtable of topics they discuss.
I thought Guardians of the Galaxy and Winter Soldier were far better films than the Avengers, so Im not scared of being let down. Loved Age of Ultron, but felt too much like the first Avengers too me.
Don't underestimate the power of good editing. I bet you could turn those prequels into decent movies.

15:19 Colin's impression of a Transformers fight is better than the actual fights. Also, I thought the Seinfield ending was great, they could have used fewer witnesses, but overall it was quite enjoyable.
Them talking about symbolism in TV shows reminded me of sons of anarchy one of the best shows I've ever seen.
I feel like Nick completely misinterpreted what Tim was saying, and what the question was. The question wasn't "What would you realistically do to fix bad movies, including market research, budget etc." it's a hypothetical question.

I remember being 14 watching the Saprano's finale...and throwing my fucking water bottle at the tv screen. But as time passes, i enjoy the last scene more and more.
Something I would assume is humans consume vitamin D differently from Kryptonians, which would probably mean that during the pregnancy the vitamin D consumed by Louis wouldn't affect the baby in the same way or would be sufficient enough for the powers to maifest. But in all honesty it's just another giant plothole in a movie that almost entirely consists of plotholes.
Movies are all about choices and some people see those choices as bad when its really just a matter of taste. Blade runner was seen as a bad movie when it came out and now its considered one of the greatest sci fi's of all time.

I still think that with transformers Revenge of the fallen there's a good movie in there somewhere. If you cut out all the bad jokes (or most of the parts with people) you'd still have about an hour and a half long fun action film.

Why don't they just use actual Transformers for the movies? Instead of having to animate them. Would save a lot of money.
I totally agree with Colin on both Indiana Jones and especially Seinfeld. Goddamn, Seinfeld was just a best-of episode. Who the hell gets excited when any show has a best-of episode? Nobody! That's why it sucked.

I remember a scene in Transformers 4 near the end where it cuts to government officials and they talk about airstrikes or some shit. And that's it, we never see/hear about that scene or airstrike again, most pointless scene ever

I really liked the Seinfeld finale, it wasn't hilarious ( I really like the show, but never thought it was hilarious anyway), but i thought it was a great contrast to the rest of the show and i loved that, it was one of the few shows that could change their whole point in the final episode
I liked Prometheus it was good if you are a fan of the original Alien movies.
The first Transformers was Ok. The rest of the movies were terrible.
I guess im the only one that liked Superman returns. It was a direct sequel to Superman 2.

I saw all four transformers movies and I want 10+ hours of my life back. Not only do Transformers movies suck but they're really long. Unless they turn things around big time I definitely wont be watching a fifth Transformers movie.
Then finale of Star Trek: Enterprise. Seriously, it was so bad the actors very nearly walked off the set without filming it. The second to last episode? Amazing. Just leave it at that, or do the damn Romulan War that was hinted at for like three seasons.

i think for transformers, they should focus more on the transformers themselves and give them more personality. i think if we've had enough of the human drama in transformers films. make galvatron more menacing and collected like his cartoon versions.

Master Chief definitely is a horrible name. It's been around so long that I've accepted it but when I really think about it and focus on the those two words, it's not very good.

the anime should have ended with L and KIRA dying together which would made that show legendary , but the publisher pushed the writer to write more episodes for money in which made the writer so upset that he made another anime expressing that issue clearly if you watch that show , he even gone so far by copycat alot of characters with his newest show , you guys should talk about it someday

Hmmm i have both manga in print,and read both of them before the anime(s) aired, (Bakuman btw) and i never read anything on Takeshi Obata or Tsugumi Ohba's part that they both went further on with the story then they wanted.Especially when you consider them getting a lot of freedom coming of Hikaru no Go,another succes for Shonen Jump

The 2 movies that came to top mind are X-men Origins: Wolverine and the 2014 TMNT. I would definitely change Origins by either it not even having Deadpool in it or have him not be the atrocity he was at the end, at least it looks like fox are going to make up for it with the new Deadpool. And the 2014 TMNT so that it focuses on the TURTLES and not fucking Megan Fox reporting and doing yoga. I didn't sign up for that shit.

I'm not saying the transformer movies are good, because they're incredibly 'meh' and always have been, but I don't think the general public or critics would give a shit about a story about just the transformers.
It was a concept for kids and in cartoon/anime/manga it works, I really don't think it would work live action with it being centred on the transformers. Only die hard fans would care which wouldn't make the billions they have made.

I love the first three Transformers movies. I mean the story isn't amazing, but just look at the Fast and the Furious series (amazing). The fourth movie for both were shitty.
Tim, what you are talking about in Death Note and Nick with yew anime going on a tangent is probably just filler. Filler isn't canon and most of the time should be skipped if possible.

I really hope this doesn't come off as rude, but it's starting to get frustrating how often Nick interrupts the others. Normally everyone lets each other finish their point before offering their rebuttal or agreeing with it, but Nick stops people mid-sentence to either finish their point, or offer his own opinion. I love everyone in the group, but its just something I noticed.

I love the earlier episodes of GameOverGreggy because they were much more free. Its weird to say, but hearing the guys talk about run times every episode is tiresome. I guess its the tradeoff for more quality content.
