Xero Z Trail vs Feelgrounds Pathway: Best Barefoot Sandal Comparison

- What is the best barefoot sandal you ask? Most comfortable, stylish, longest lasting most durable etc. I'm comparing the top two barefoot shoes here for summer, rain and hiking. Xero vs Feelgrounds. The Xero Z Trail EV or Trek sandals are amazing! Can the new Feelgrounds Pathway compare? These have the best straps, other companies like Shamma, Earth runners, Luna, Peracles, Deliberate Life Designs, Chala, Unshoes Footwear, Bedrock, Laboo, Panta all seem to have straps that go in between the toes. Not as comfortable as over the toe.

Tested any grounding shoes?
I think you can become a direct Xero affiliate and probably (maybe?) get a better cut than an Amazon affiliate link? I don't quite know, but I am a Xero affiliate. It's also nice because they send you stuff to review from time to time.
Thank you for taking the time to review our Pathway sandals 🙏As we continuously strive to improve our products, your feedback is incredibly valuable to us! We really appreciate it and will take your suggestions into consideration 😊
What’s your updated sandal that’s a response to this?
you need linen shoes
F**K Ive had that "store" music in your intro pounding my brain almost 24/7 for no reason for the past week and could not figure out where it was from. I dont think ive ever shouted that loud right after clicking on a YT vid!!
I'm highly invested in this, I need sandals
Me too
I've never done any hiking in sandals myself, but an acquaintance of mine hiked the entire Appalachian Trail(2000+ miles) in Luna Mono Gordo sandals. He swears by them. I'm guessing sandals probably also force you to develop better use of your natural stabilizer system/muscles. if so, that's a good thing!! Have a great week.
thumbs down for: missing the wet test.. it rains in toronto all the time during sandal season. wet sandal test to see how slippery they become and whether they are even usable and dry up without stinking up the place. also foot shouldnt slide around and toes should not overhang the soles. I thumbed up.
I have super wide feet too. I get 6EE wide shoes. I've been frustrated with sandals because they are too tight even when I order a size larger than normal. So I only use them for short distances like starting the car or getting the mail. I may give Xero Z a shot. In other news I just consumed my first Zen Cleanz powder pack just before watching this video. I bought the package almost immediately after your first video recommending Zen Cleanz (yes I used the affiliate link). It's been sitting on a shelf for a long time. Today is the day I take the cleanse and tomorrow I'll start to get rid of the mucoid plaque that's been killing me from the inside for decades. Yay.
My husband and i got the xero sandals too, they are ok comfortable,we got them for ultra light backpacking, but the new generation doesn't seen as good quality as the older ones ,only wore them a few times and already some stuff seems to be crumbling off the sole in the front from bumping into a rock, hope it works better for others !!
Anyone know the name of the track that's playing in the store he's in??
Love your sincerity.
Keep up the great work.
When ur on a budget. You can literally walk barefoot. Don’t forget. Don’t be silly and walk in dangerous areas and hurt yourself. 😅
You make the perfect product reviewer. 👍👍
I've been buying Zero Shoes since 2011. They were known as Invisible Shoes then. Love my Zero Shoes.
Same!
That was funny. I am going to get the Xero's now. I lived in Chiang Mai for 10 years and wore Chaco's which are like wearing bricks compared to new choices. SEA and Thailand are awesome fun!!!!
There is a model of croc flip flop that has a hump in the middle. THOSE ones are so comfortable and you don’t look like a nerd.
I hike in them.
He's specifically looking at minimal sandals, though. Crocs wouldn't be minimal sandals as they lack the zero drop heel. Crocs would be more akin to the offerings from Teva (same company, actually) and Chaco.
Feelgrounds: Enjoy these free sandals. We'd love to know what you think.
VP: They're way worse than my old sandals.
::one week later::
VP: I'm 41 and I have no friends.
😆
I am in South Africa and struggle to find barefoot shoes, when you do they are ridiculously expensive. I currently run in a pair of vibram 5 fingers. Tried all sorts of other "proper" running shoes and I get shin splints within the first 10min of running.
Is the foam footbed on the Z-Trail firm or squishy? I'm looking for something that has no give underfoot. Thanks!
I cannot help but think the man who was pictured with your mother in the video you did about her going to hospital, is actually your father. Have you considered that .. 😶 Luke?
I got some Xeros when you did and I love them. Not worn out at all. I run in them some times and hike. They even look neat enough you can wear them in town as well. Thanks for the rec.
If you care what material your body is touching so much that you wear linen, why are you subjecting your feet to touching some synthetic toxic material constantly in those sandals? I do not understand! Your feet are inhaling the shoes. very bad for health!
I like the new subjects you approch ! Great changes ! I'll still continue to watch
What does this have to do with your channel other than promoting products for $
Gotta try earth runners!
Wait that’s the logo for Xero accounting software not the shoes.
For an even thinner sole and an awesome barefoot feeling, I recommend Vibram Fivefingers or Wildling although they are not sandals.
Just go barefoot.... Save a lot of money and a good conversation starter lol
Man, your only 11 and I'm a 13 so I know more about sandals than you do, but I appreciate your research into Flax
got loads of xeros. good shoes
Kasey, that's the wrong logo for Xero. You get the accounting software Xero
The world will survive lol.
@@vegetablepolice I'm not sure it will. Btw thank for the years of entertaining me, much appreciated. Also cut those toe nails you big foot!
Xero shoes and sandals are the best and they last.
Hi bro. Where did you get your linen shorts ?
Value Village.
@@vegetablepolice Thank you.
Curious why you’re not on Rumble?
Here in Ireland it’s not sandal weather as it’s cold and it’s raining. According to the experts, we’re suffering from ‘asymptomatic global warming’.
This wouldn’t bother Aussies. They wear sandals, or thongs as they are called down there, all the time. 😅
They want $136 for them in Canada.
I've never tried the Xero sandals, but I love my Xero hikers.
When you wear a sandle you are not barefoot

I am one of those wide foot MF's too...
If you ever need a shoe from Xero, the prio is my favorite daily driver!
Wish the insole would last longer tho!
I seem to always rip my toenail off when wearing Sandals 🤦♂️🤦♂️.
Nothing can beat the Xero! I also love the Denvers.
Xero ftw
Looks comfy man, godspeed
Highly recommend Panta sandals for anyone in Europe. Love them.
I am new to barefoot life, wore the Xero Genesis all summer, love them. I think if Xero have a sale on the EV's I will pull the trigger.
That’s the logo for Xero the New Zealand accounting software
Size 11 ! How tall are you Kasey?! Just had me curious
You had trench foot in Thailand. It’s not the boots, it’s the water and oil and gas from the flooded road.
I'd check out bedrock sandles as well
I love them, got a couple of pairs. It's basically all I wear in summer, except at work.
Xeros are not wide enough for my feet. Earth runners all the way! But those need a long time to break in and getting used to.
Nice picture background my friend
I recall hearing that the z trail gets super slippery in watery trails. Is this accurate?
Love Xero shoes. I got over 10 pairs. No sandles yet.
What do you think of earth runners?
Got the Z trail and it feels like I walk on bare foots (well yeah that's what they're meant to be duh) but look out if you have any back problems, afters months of use it woke up an old hernia..... train your feet and walking posture if you want to go barefoot (shoes) it's worth it
I find that having no cushion hurts my knees..
Middle of winter here in Australia, but I swear by Bedrock barefoot sandals. Pricey, but they are awesome.. made in USA.
Yes, the Cairns have been pretty consistently ranked as amongst the best minimal sandals. But they are relatively thick and heavy, so you don't get a lot of ground feel with them. I used to wear them all the time, now I mainly relegate them to hiking and prefer thinner models (mainly from Luna) for everyday wear.
@@drygnfyre
The Bedrock Geo model is pretty thin. I've got a pair of those too.
@@carl8568 Yeah, I've got a pair as well. They've been discontinued, the thinnest model you can get from them now is the Classic.
@@drygnfyre
Ah bugger, didn't realise that. I wouldn't mind another thin pair, what Luna's are thin but still pretty robust?
@@carl8568 Luna Mono Winged is one of my favorite models. 12 mm vs. the 16 mm of Bedrock Cairns. You can also modify the diagonal strap to be behind the "wing," to create a fit more akin to Earth Runners. Takes a few minutes to do but very easy. They also make the Oso Flacco which I think is about 7 mm, but it has Vibram Megagrip so it's a bit more aggressive for everyday wear compared to the Morflex you get on the Mono Winged.
do your feelground boots also have a lousy heel? the heel of the boot keeps folding under the bottom of my heel and its rly annoying
They feel great, so far so good for the first winter.
👍👍👍👍
😂
Nice floors in your home. Those are expensive. Must be a good landlord.
They are vinyl crap.
@@vegetablepoliceLol. What a deception. Piece of Sh#t of a landlord.
Which one is best for someone on OMAD?
Replace butterflies with mosquitos
I had the Xeros and served me for a good year. Only issue was that if your feet got sweaty it would make squishy womping sounds when I walk :(
always wore socks with them if it was too hot
Xero!!! Love mine.
Is the vibrational frequency of these ok? 🥲
So happy to see this video! Please make a barefoot shoes video for fitness/gym shoes too if you have experience with those
