Brian Blessed gave his voice to animation before like the characters of Clayton from Disney's Tarzan and Grampy Rabbit from Peppa Pig, but having him voice Garfield felt genius(aside from Lorenzo Music voicing Peter Venkman in The Real Ghostbusters, whereas Bill Murray portrayed Garfield in the live action movies based on the cat).
