Thanks, I've spent more time exploring the map than I have taking out the colossi. Probably the reason you don't see more videos of players venturing into "Forbidden Zones" is because that in most cases there is no way to get back to where you should be once you're done exploring, so you end up having to restart the game each time. For me that's okay, it's all part of the job of a Secret Seeker. :)
Yeah, actually all 4 types of birds can carry Wander (Hawks, Eagles, Seagulls, Doves). In most cases the doves don't carry you for more than a few seconds. But the Hawks, Eagles, & Seagulls can carry you for well over a minute depending on what area of the map you grab them, how much stamina you have, & also which times you grab them. You can grab the same bird multiple times in the same location & yet the duration of your ride won't always be the same.
Well so far I haven't seen anyone else do this & as with most of my videos, I check as best I can to see if others have already made a video showing whatever it is I'm planning on uploading. I never tried doing this on the PS2 version but I'll take your word for it that it can't be done. First off I'm not even sure if those Seagulls are in this location on the PS2 version. But even if they are, you probably can't glide out far enough to grab them with the Cloth Of Desperation. Now you've got me wanting to check this. XD
There's actually many areas you can explore that are considered "out of bounds". The amount of collision detection in these areas is quite amazing especially considering you aren't even supposed to be in these locations. Or are you? I have a feeling the dev's at Bluepoint Games added collision to many of these areas knowing full well many players (especially the Secret Seekers) would be trying to explore anywhere & everywhere possible.
@@ISAACHALLEY3000 Well there's lots to do once you finish the game. There's 154 gallery pics to unlock, 79 gold coins to find & collect (you do get a reward), Normal & Hard Time Attack modes to complete which allows you to unlock special items, & of course just exploring the entire map & see areas you've never been to. Maybe discovering something new in the process.
Yes & this was also true of the PS2/PS3 version. The main difference with the PS4 version is that you can now glide much further using the parachute (Cloth Of Desperation) than you could before. This makes access to those areas much easier. Doing the "hawk hump" while using turbo is the most common way to reach most of these locations. But even without turbo there are many areas you can still reach that weren't possible before. All you have to do is take the time to explore.
Thanks. Riding the various types of birds throughout the Forbidden Lands is one of my favorite things to do. I've already logged almost 17 hours of hawk riding according to my PS4 stats. That doesn't even include the time I've spent doing it on the PS2 & PS3 versions of the game. Actually you can interact with all the wildlife in the game except the butterflies. This includes the turtles, fish, bats, lizards, & all 4 types of birds.
@@FactoryZ This game is full of nice views. We might possibly get a "director's cut" or "definitive edition" of the game in 2025 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the games original release. Should that happen, we will most likely get some or all of the cut colossi put back in the game, but just as important, we may finally have access to the very top of the main temple. With a view from that height, we would be able to see over the entire map.
If you jump into the water you'll die. There are "out of bounds" locations around the map where you can safely land in water, but this area isn't one of them. There might be a tiny spot in this area where it's safe to land in the water, but if there is I haven't found it...yet. Almost the entire area where I landed is explorable, but you have to be careful because as with most "out of bounds" locations, there are spots with no collision & if you take a wrong step you'll either die instantly or fall through the map.
That seagull be like: bro what the heck?! I'm holding the main character!!!
Nice!
Btw, it's interesting that they've made every little cliffs and stones walkable.
We always keep searching 🔎

Iguazu
In the PS2 version, this wasn't possible.
The developers knew players wanted to do this and added it.

theres so much of this game that is actually walkable that the average player will never even see.... wild
