- We have the third video in our series to get to master rank for the classic Street Fighter character Chun Li! SF6 is still new and people have been coming up with some crazy combos. Let's learn some of these today and see how far it takes us in ranked!

I've been labbing her too and as far as the supers go, yeah it's more efficient to just use LVL 3 then it is to do lvl 2 into lvl 1. If I recall correctly lvl 3 does like 1000 more damage if you just ex hazanshu into it.
The lvl 3 super is easier to perform and does deal extra damage depending on the combo, but the 2 into 1 has just as much damage to the drive gauge as 3 unless you are below 20% HP and carries into the corner. It is about what is more optimal. Not necessarily what does more damage.
I just use lvl 2 into lvl 1 for the corner carry really other than that its not really something you need.

Don't take it hard, man. I'm a Diamond Chun who's been maining her for years, and this is the hardest she's ever been. I think she's the most technical character in the game, especially considering you have to work so much harder to equal the returns you'd get from a better character. Keep at it and she will reward you, though.

@dylzp Charge input so it takes a moment to charge. By the time the first kikoken you shoot is gone or hits opponent, you should have enough charge for another.
@@dylzp sorry for the delay in replying, my guy. Honestly, it just comes with practice. I've been playing since SF2 in the arcades in Japan. You will eventually get a natural rhythm with it. Just strive to work on pressing F at the exact same time as your punch button.
If you want to get a better visual/audio cue of if you're timing it perfectly, practice throwing Sonic Booms with Guile since he has a "perfect" version that's thrown if you press it with perfect timing. He literally says "Perfect!" if you time it properly, instead of his usual "Sonic Boom"if it's just an okay-timing. Work on throwing 10; 20; 30 in a row and once you can do that without dropping it, you'll have learned the proper way to execute Kikoken as a byproduct.
How do you do charge moves so fast I can’t combo spinning kick without holding it for like 2 seconds
The rules of charge is that you have to hold the charge, but the game does not tell you WHEN you have to do it.
So a good trick if you're gonna do a charge is that usually most moves that go into charge have long animations or can be done from a crouching move.
Lets say you must do a 4>6 input. Back forward. During your crouching moves instead of holding just down. You're going to be holding Down back or 1. Once the crouching move lasts, you press 6 (forward) and button to do your charge attack.

Also worth noting is that some of her charge moves do not require a charge if used after a stance move. You just have to do the motion/input in the window, but you don’t have to hold it.
Chun li seems like a real beneficiary of drive impact. Her moves have really low recovery so trying to raw drive impact her just gets countered, and as far as her using it, Chun Li being able to ARMOR stuff and get a huge punish is pretty ridiculous. It’s something she has not been able to do before and could not do otherwise in this game. her punishes will obviously do less damage than a lot of other characters, but those characters will really struggle to land a DI against her.
Obviously she also benefits a lot from drive rush, most characters do, but an additional tool she gets is an extremely good drive rush cancel throw. Chun Li drive rush cancel throw seems to be the new Chun Li third strike Kara throw lol. Even more range in exchange for meter cost.

Hold during long animation recovery , practice buffering , start charging as soon as you throw a fireball , charging specials canceled after stance doesn’t need charge

i would actually watch the Guile guide in the character guide section of the game to learn charge.. that one teaches you the "ABCs" Always Be Charging
What's the point of the combos which empty your impact bar, if you have damage escalation? You can get more damage if you link less hits, am i right?

So many diamond Cammys throwing out random spiral arrows into getting punished hard. Character must be braindead easy to win if they're doing that shit in diamond, and I know diamond isn't even that difficult to get to in 6.
Cammy is fun but semi braindead. Like with Chun you gotta have finesse with those combos but the cammy game plan is basically…”cammy go fast brrr”. Her combos are super linear. And as much as I hate to say it, the random spiral arrow works more often than you’d think.
