The current Pantera lineup is a cover band. Anselmo was canceled because he’s a KKK member.
I'm super happy for Ola. Hard work pays off. To be told by Phil his name was on, "The List" is a lifetime achievement.
What an amazing honor to be told by Phil that you were in consideration to be a part of helping fans celebrate the legacy of your favorite band! You have already been doing just that in your own way for many years now. That had to knock you on your ass to be told that! I've seen Pantera 9 times from 1994-2001 and now 22 years later I get the opportunity to take my son and experience these amazing songs to the same venue I saw them for the first and last time! 26 more days and counting!
Being on the list is the biggest honor and you deserve it man
To keep it short and sweet: I went to their Amsterdam show, they ruled, the crowd roared, I cried of joy and was 16 again.
Phil's voice is the star of this tour, damn

human beings I’ve ever personally met back in the day. I have Pantera stories of my own (by the way I’m from Texas!) I’ve met ZaK as well & on that same night Dime was there and I got to chat with both. PANTERA for LIFE!! 🙌🏼. Don’t be surprised by what Phil said, you belonged on that list!

So incredibly awesome. Phil sounds his best ever. I’ve seen pantera live 13 times back in the 90’s at their best and Phil never sounded this good It’s amazing what sobriety does to a person
Saw them in Prague last month, brought my 17 year old son with me, both minds blown. Incredible night. Fair play to you for making the list man, that's a story for the grand kids!

Beautiful. Philip gave me a nickname in 2016 when I was working w/ Warbeast and mixing their demos that became their last effort.. I cannnnno remember, but it was legendary. He once looked at me super honestly and said "Man, you have great ears". I'll take it.
I flew from Ireland for this gig.......first off what a killer venue.....i done the meet and greet and i knew beforehand it would be an unbelievable atmosphere cos of the small venue that it was......secondly massive respect to Zakk and Charlie......they killed it and without them this wouldn't happen....when it was over it was amazing when everyone from the front was walking out....everyone drenched and stinking of sweat...but no-one cared, probably been a long time before some or most had a night like that and probably many didnt think they would see ever again

Saw them June 2nd in Stuttgart at the same venue where I saw them on March 4th 1991 at the Cowboys from Hell tour supporting Judas Priest. Absolutely incredible show ❤❤❤
So cool to hear you were actually on the list. What a great honor! Back then I actually did think they should consider you for the job, but I can see how hard it would be to be chosen over someone like Zakk, with all his massive experience and metal cred. But now at least you know they were considering you as a possible candidate for the job, and that in itself is HUGE!

Zakk was one of Dimes best friends and has known the Pantera crew since their beginnings. Only makes sense he would be the guy. Huge Honor for Ola but Zakk was the obvious choice.
I saw Pantera with Dime twice on the Vulgar tour. I was at the show that they used footage from for the Walk video.. I saw Down once. I wish I could've seen Damageplan.
I would suggest to ANYBODY who loves Pantera and never saw them with Dime and Vince, go see them. Zakk and Dime were best friends and so was Charlie and Vince. I was lucky enough to see them on the Far Beyond Driven and Reinventing The Steel tours. I'm so happy that these young people can see at least some form of Pantera. We still have Rex and Phil so...go see em if you can! 🤘

@@Fartinhalerr no no no I don't believe that at all!!!!!! The best thing would be to have rotating hired guitarists honestly. But I appreciate the smart assness. But again I think the majority of Pantera fans would agree if both played 2 concerts same set list and compared both concerts. I agree zakk is an amazing iconic guitarist / hired guitarist. But his solos are stale these days and all mash together. He is amazing with his stuff. I believe dime would have picked ola. Honestly brothers or not. Ola has history with dean history with Washburn has the chops has mutual friends mutual custom shop contacts and friends he knows note for note the solos. And had the hair and beard to go with it. The only reason zakk got the job is because the it was a seen public opinion if we had the choice by vote and it was zakk ola Michelangelo fucking bet. Ola would have won the vote! As a matter of fact. @olaenglund #olaenglund man there has to be way to figure this out.not for you but for us the fans of all 3 Pantera zakk and ola. I can't think of anyone else. Way everything out and tell me other than best friends who has more I'm the offering bucket. Ola or zakk with credible evidence not word of mouth or wishing in one hand and shitting in the other shit always wins
I'm happy they're doing Dime such great justice I'm sure he'd be proud of what Zakk is doing. This looked like a genuinely great show. Its also cool Grady Champion is the guitar tech. Im happy that Phil Anselmo is in good sprits. And SO COOL you were on that list to be considered and that says a lot!

I'm seeing them in Pittsburgh PA. July 28th. Can't wait. I was lucky enough to see them in 1999, 2000 and 2001. But they couldn't of picked 2 better guys to fill in for Dime and Vinny. May they RIP
I don't think they could've of chosen a better replacement than Zakk Wylde. Literally a perfect fit. I hope it isn't a temp thing and they tour for many years ahead.
Ola is better, Zakk plays wrong parts all the time.
@@HenritheHorse I saw pantera live a few months ago. He doesn’t play exactly like dime but if you were expecting that you’re taking it in all wrong. Usually when people cover other artists stuff they put a bit of their own spin on it. But the more important thing is that show was still awesome and zakk with the rest of the band killed it.

Saw Pantera in 1998 in Lewiston Maine at a similar sized venue. I so wish I could see the actual ban again, but I'll settle for this for sure this September!

My first concert was Pantera in '94. It was so overwhelming and I was moshing so hard I barely remember any of it. Apart from the pain I was in for the next three days.

My friend that I play in a band with is going to see Pantera and Mammoth WVH open for Metallica in Montreal this summer and I still say that he's super lucky, Pantera definitely puts on a fucking hell of a live show from all I've seen and I still love that the guys are doing this in honour of the brothers
I´ve been to the show in Hamburg after over 20 years of listening to Pantera, one of the greatest shows of my life (maybe RATM were in the same ballpark when it comes to waiting for a band).
I knew you gonna met them. I am happy for you. You would have been on place 1 on the pantera tribute guitarist list. Peace 2 would have been Trent Hafdahl from After The Burial. Then Zack... It was nice meeting you in Hamburg. At the way home my wife and me Talked about that you must have been visiting Hamburg for the concert to meet them. GGWP

i seen pantera one time in the early 90s i was 14 or so in upper darby pa at the tower theater, at end of the show one of our boys ended up smoking a joint with phil and we got invited join it was epic
Seeing them Open for Tallica in November at Ford Field. Seen them a handful of times from 91 to 2001. Wasn’t wanting to see it in the beginning of the tribute but I soften up and figured might as well see Tallica 2 last times and see the tribute since it seemed to be going fairly well.
You, Wes Hauch, and Zakk were my first 3 picks for Pantera reunion. But for you to hear it from Phil himself gotta be an amazing feeling.
Ill be catching Pantera and Lamb of God w/ Child Bite in Hershey, Pennsylvania when they come back to the states. Cheers, Ola.

Saw them in Rockfest in Finland earlier this year. After a healthy wait of some 25 years. So yeah, it was much anticipated and yes, they did deliver. Gonna be very hard to not get tickets if Pantera decides to visit Finland ever again.

Pantera was great in Oslo too :) Weird to see / hear without the brothers, but better than them not existing :) Phil killed it.
I was never fortunate enough to see them back in the day (they never really came to Canada all that much anyways) so this time, I said, "I'm not waiting until 2024" and I flew my wife and son to Oslo to see them at Tons of Rock.
We never left the pit, it was absolutely a transcendent experience, and the boys were unbelievably tight.
What a gift to be able to see them in the flesh and jam the fuck out!!!
