Sling Media Slingbox Infomercial

In 2005 I was part of the team to build the Slingbox. This was an early Internet of Things device to take your home cable box or TiVo DVR and send the video anywhere you were in the world, or even your other rooms. Laptops were expensive then, and smartphones had tiny screens, and slow connectivity. But the product worked and we even won a technology Emmy with it!

It's unfortunate they're cutting off the Slingbox service in November. I'm still hunting for an alternative to replace the 4 boxes I own.
