About Seinfeld:
Seinfeld stars Jerry Seinfeld as a stand-up comedian whose life in New York City is made even more chaotic by his quirky group of friends who join him in wrestling with life's most perplexing, yet often trivial questions. Often described as "a show about nothing," Seinfeld mines the humor in life's mundane situations like waiting in line, searching for a lost item, or the trials and tribulations of dating. Co-starring are Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Jerry's ex-girlfriend and current platonic pal, Elaine Benes; Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Jerry's neurotic hard-luck best friend; and Michael Richards as Jerry's eccentric neighbor, Kramer.

Her gradual physical decay into George's appearance was wonderfully subtle.
And George reverted back to old habits.
No, it was quite obvious. You people need a functionaI brain.
Plus, you got to admit, she's a really hot George.
I love the reoccurring candy theme, Juji Fruit, Junior Mints, Twix, Pez 😂😂
Also, the Snickers eaten with utensils.
Always been “Jujyfruits” now. Mandela Effect.
Elaine was looking GORGEOUS in this one.

Always thought she is beautiful
IDK. Cute certainly. Elaine's disposition would really put me off.
@@bobanderson6656 compared to how she usually looks, this is the best i ever remember her looking, hence the beautiful comment. I'm not saying she's Angelina Jolie
Elaine was a menace to her apartment complex.
Imagine if she had've used Kroners ?@maas_karyo963
Benes the menace

The horror and disgust when she realizes she’s the George now.
Nobody wants to be like George. This episode is only time good things happen for him because doing the opposite is what makes him civilized human being.
Even Jerry’s horrified, for good reason.
In Elaine's defense, she had been assured that Jake was gonna be alright, so she found the time for a box of Jujyfruits. 😆
_"Because they're Jujyfruit. I_ like _them."_ The way she said it, you can imagine her giving you the puppy dog eyes. 🤭
She's very good at emotional manipulation.
This is how dudes from 4chan and Reddit like to look at social situations.
It’s the whole “well technically/to be fair” area they hang in, and like deprioritize other people’s feelings, emotions, situations, etc. for the technical truth.
Well she was wearing glasses when she gave that excuse so it negates that effect.
Yes.
"because they're juji fruit, I like them" is so endearing hahahaha
Always been “Jujyfruits” now. Mandela Effect.
I know it’s probably the funniest line from Elaine in my opinion😂
Its underrated how Kramer looks away and starts fidgeting when Elaine says shes George
She could have said she bought them before the manager told her. 🤦🏽
She might be inconsiderate but she ain't no liar, that's much nore despicable.
Actually he asked didnt she recieve the message before enter the premise and then she confirmed it, that's why she could give this excuse.
She’s not George, she can’t lie convincingly.
The manager told her the guy was OK before she bought them.
If Elaine didn’t get those Jujyfruits at the movies, she probably wouldn’t have started the chain reaction that costed her job.
Or if she just RAN AFTER HER BOSS, rewatching this show again makes me realize how stupid [and often basically evil] Jerry and his friends were.
This show isn't about nothing, it's about four people continually falling from grace.
Except Jerry, he always gest even
Grace?! You think SHE has grace?!
@@engg84 She doesn't even SAY grace!
@@anthonyvasquezactorwell she does have a little grace.
@@Ch0ntrolExcept when George or Elaine are out of the equation. Then he backslides.
“Don’t say that” 😂
What's low-key crazy is that Elaine would pay theater price for candy. You'd think at least the price would have made her reconsider.
To be fair, she's by far the most loaded out of the 4 of them.
That candy was absolutely a priority for Elaine
Not just the candy, but also the popcorn.
@@jasonquigley2633that would be Jerry
@@jasonquigley2633and she’d just gotten a raise
I’ve become George 😂 Elaine bounced back pretty quickly to be fair.
I've always had the theory Jake wasn't offended by her buying candy before coming to see him. I think he wanted revenge for Elaine breaking up with him because he didn't use an exclamation point after he took a message from her friend who had a baby. He was looking for a reason.
Yeah well she got him back by ruining his career over a pair of glasses.
She gets revenge with the glasses though.
I thought Kramer ruined that by saying she said Hi, when she didn't say Hi, and when she told him to his face that she didn't say Hi, he took that as more of a compliment.
@@kevinclark5802
“smug is bad quality.
Revenge is good.”
The taxi driver.
Was that really Elaine breaking up with Jake though? He was the one who decided to leave because he got fed up with her petty whining.
Between her note about the exclamation points in him catching her eating candy, Jake jarmel and Elaine were a pretty good match
Great to see Harry from 3rd Rock from the Sun
I love the zoom in on Lippman's handkerchief that's was left on Elaine's desk.
Nice... cameo by French Stewart, lol.
One thing I noticed about "The Opposite" is that it's the episode right after "The Hamptons" where George hits rock bottom after he realizes that women don't know about "shrinkage".
I cant see anyone for Elaine except Julia. This show is absolutely chaos and about nothing 😂😂😂
Just like your comment.
Elaine should've told Jake that she got the juji fruits before the manager told her about his accident.
That's the same thing I always think. I guess she's not very good at thinking on her feet.
Her roommate has the greatest “accent.”
Honestly after the way she treats George, constantly bullying him and even taking pleasure in his sufferings, she deserved this! Say what you will about whether or not George deserved it (which he definitely did for some cases) but still.
Lol and after mocking him for living with his parents he gets to sarcastically “suggest” she move in with them.
You know, I thought I've heard everything. I've never heard a relationship being affected by punctuation.
I would definitely be that petty. If she's sending me run-on paragraphs with no punctuation I might reconsider my feelings.
Technically she WAS already INSIDE the theater so I mean
I love love love Seinfeld ❤❤
Candy mest everything up for her
Yes an insignificant issue screws her over. She has become George!
messed
The gentleman informing Elaine her date was in an auto accident: Is that Frenchy Stewart who played Harry Solomon from ‘Third Rock from the Sun’?
Yes, two years before "3rd Rock".
yes it was
I never understood the problem with Elaine getting the Jujyfruits. She knew he was fine and wanted a snack before she headed over. In a long line of selfish actions, this is nowhere near the top. Elaine just had bad luck this whole episode.
The Opposite episode was the first episode of Seinfeld I watched 😂
Most people would just start with episode one.
Elaine should’ve just grabbed the handkerchief and chased Lippman down in the hallway.
I'm George... I'm George...
Julia's deliver here is second to done
Cause they’re Jujyfruit, I like them 😢😔🙁
"But he's all right." Jake is over dramatic, if you're going to let a stranger say, "but he's all right." Now if she ate all the candy and never offered him any, we then got issues.
I'm with Elaine on this one. She was informed that Jake was okay. And the Jujyfruits were right there. Jake overreacted imo.
Such a shame. Before this she had lots of grace, now she has no grace.
You've either got grace or you haven't.
I think the guy in the hospital was being unreasonable
0:26 a French Stewart sighting!
He had a incoming message from the big giant head.
Elaine has officially became George!
The juju fruit episode 😂
How can Elaine eat those like that? They get stuck in your teeth! Is she just swallowing them whole?
Yes
Elaine always looked good to me. She’s a fine looking woman ❤
4:39 🍬
Nah
She's absolutely breathtaking!
If she wasn’t attractive in someway, she wouldn’t be on TV. The whole point is for you to be attracted to her because good-looking means good and not good looking means bad.
Funniest episode, hands down.
Could've just said she bought it before 😪
Being George is not so bad.
Why tf didn't he just say "I might be sick" instead of "germs"
Or even “_I've got_ germs” would’ve helped.
Ah, that's a shame.
All she had to say was that she bought them befire the message
She isn’t exactly “quick on her feet”.
Lie??
@element5092 surely lying to someone about when you bought some candy is better than telling them that you prioritised buying a bag of candy over making sure they were OK after being rushed to hospital?
@@willbaker6532 I disagree.
French Stewart was adorable
The apartment was happening, that was long-term storytelling. But the other two things were completely avoidable...how do you not finish the candy before getting to the hospital, especially at the rate she was eating them...and why not physically go to dude about his handkerchief?
Bonus: Why didn't dude say he was sick? Chose the most ambiguous wording he could muster...
Is the theater manager played by French Stewart?
Yep
3:49 curse those jujyfruits
Even Steven!
Jerry lol
Very funny 😊episode
This is similar to when my friends wife was in the hospital and he stopped to get a six pack along the way.
Why does Elaine has to bully George like that😭😭🤣🤣
That's always been their dynamic. In an earlier season, he confessed to being afraid of her.
4:25 do they not know what germs are?
They didn’t realize he had a cold and thought he was implying they had germs which clearly offended them
@@12BlueaceAll he had to say was "I have a cold and I just sneezed into my hand" but it's Seinfeld so...
Who sneezes right into their hand anyway?
Best show ever
Elaine looks really bad in the thumbnail. She really looks like someone who should do the opposite of what she thinks she should do
2:06 is that the woman who says "Edgar your skin is hanging off your bones" ? lol
She could still walk after him
Siobhan Fallon has such a beautiful head of red hair!
3:08 menacing
Elaine: because they're jujyfruit. I like them. at 4:42 LOL
is there any possibility to erase the music from the end? its a bit anoying after 10 videos in a row or more.... :C
Isn't this the even Steven episode?? George was up, Elaine was down, and Jerry is...even Steven 😂
yes
French Stewart!
Those curse it Jujyfruit 0:47
Elaine was so hot back then.
Jake was such a Ken
Okay but the only place you could buy Jujyfruits was the movie theater, and she WAS already there, so...
That’s why there’s a booozer! 😂
Elaine became George and vice versa
Jake was batting above his average.
French Stewart!
Is that French Stewart??
Oui
Kids, say "No" to Juji Fruits.
4:31 instead of saying germs, shoulda just said "i'm sick"
this is one of the episodes where I hated Elaine on the Lipman being sick part
Sometimes the set-ups to the punchlines were smooth and ingenious and sometimes they were utterly ham-fisted, like here. She's stuffing her mouth with candy on multiple occasions, just to get Jake to ask where she got them (she couldn't lie and say she'd already bought them?? E.g. "Oh I love dogs") and then she's practically choking on them just so she can't talk to Lippman? All the twists rely on Elaine acting like a glutton for no reason. They don't bother to mix it up. "How do we solve this? I know, stuff her face with candy!..... Hmm, how do we solve this other issue? I know, stuff her face with candy!"
Contrast the Elaine is a difficult patient episode. How we get to Uncle Leo being blacklisted is absurd but it's sure not lazy.
Elaine is so pretty ❤❤❤
3rd rock from the sun guy French Stewart…early appearance
She never had any grace.
One is born with grace.
Im sure Tina was quite odd and quirky (she dated Kramer for Christs sake); but compared to Elaine shes perfectly normal!
Elaine’s friend that broke her the bad news after this, moved to upstate NY, and settled down with a abusive man named Edgar…idk what happened to them after that 😂😂😂
Everyone laughs at Jake for being "so sensitive." Jake would've had to walk into the ocean if he had been the one who'd bought JuJeFruits.
But it’s not “so sensitive” at all.
It’s a matter of consideration and someone’s thought process.
Like, if my girlfriend was in the hospital for whatever reason, I’d absolutely drop everything and go be with her.
Candy isn’t that important despite it being “on the way”.
@@steverogers7601 I know. That was my point. The double standard.
She's georgified... 😳
Every time I watch this, it makes me want jujy fruits.
Tremendous electric bass playing. That is the big plus of this show.
_...because they're Jujyfruits.._
The original Elaine died in this episode.
Elaine did nothing wrong.
Dreyfus really thinks she can relate to the blue collar workers of America. LMAO!
Nothing like comfort food to get over trauma? Was Canadian that low back then?
It's not about the value some places just don't accept different currency. Especially with coins.
A coin-operated washer probably wouldn’t be programmed to accept Canadian currency, so putting them in could break it.
I honestly never liked Elaine so this episode was a great one for me 😂😂😂 (I guess that's testament to how good an actress JLD is)
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I like jujy fruits...
