There is a talent disc called "Turning Point" which has a talent in it that allows you to cheat death once per fight. If you take a killing blow you become immortal for 10 seconds and then can continue on with the fight as if you didn't die. Very essential talent for a bit of breathing room in more challenging fights like this.
