Simply put, this is now my all-time favorite song by my all-time favorite band, and with 50+ years of metal behind me, that says a lot. This band is brilliant. Their compositions are complex, the playing is at hyper speed done to clean perfection. As Asami says - "we are Lovebites and we play Heavy Metal". They blend power/speed/thrash/heavy metal, sprinkle in multiple influences, and totally modernize the metal from the late 70's to early 90's. You didn't have to speak a word, because your constant smiling said it all.
I've seen Maiden (2x) and Priest, although their duos have been doing it 40yrs+, I firmly believe M&M have surpassed them in the short time they've been together (8yrs). So fast and precise. They are so locked in with each other and you have to be at that pace otherwise, I assume it would sound terrible. I have heard their whole catalog hundreds / thousands of times and am still mind blow every time. And their precision didn't happen overnight (almost), you hear / see the flaws in their earlier days...wonderful to see them progress, all of them. Now, with FAMI...holy smokes. A US Tour would be icing on the cake at this point (hint, hint)!! 🤘

Its custom pickguard is slightly different in shape and size from those for general sale use. Handmade by artisans. [Dean Icon USA Flame Top -Faded Denim] USA Icon is a passive pickup converted to an active pickup. Miyako's DEAN Guitar replaced with Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker Set Nickel pickups. The rear pickup has been replaced with an Ovaltone ROSSO-鵺-NUE DEVICE (red) and the front pickup with an Ovaltone NERO-鵺-NUE DEVICE (black) condenser. Midori(G) [ESP E-II Horizon FR QM Purple]. Midori's guitar looks "purple" in the live video. Original color not in the catalog. The quilted maple grain is beautifully visible through the purple see-through paint. It is a model of the "Rhino" series named Sasuke/Rosewood.

But I couldn't tell the model number from the screen.... Midori had previously profiled the peavey6505Plus with Kemper. I recently saw a video of her saying in an interview that she profiled Diezel Herbert with Kemper. Maybe Miyako thought Midori's Diezel Herbert was good and was interested in it. I also previously confirmed the video of Fami using the Aguilar DB410 amp. However, I did not know about Darkglass. I see that you decided to use Darkglass, which Miho likes! I have one of the Miyako Dean Signature V guitars! They aren't old! Mine is dated 2022 and was #39 of the production run. They were made in Korea and it has one of absolute nicest necks on any guitar I own (I think that number is north of 35 guitars now). Miyako has the prototype from the production run in her home studio, while the 'real one' she uses on stage is a USA custom shop special. She got this in 2021. I also have a Dean Custom Run ML Switchblade from the same run as Miyako's... mine is #60 of 100 that were made, from a run in 2010. It has a similar neck to the V. Both are superb guitars.
@@guitarzen5999 That whole situation is ridiculous - Gibson were major jerks for doing what they did. I realized as soon as I saw that V for sale I needed to move fast. It's a truly excellent guitar.
@GarageYears It's funny because I'm a big Gibson guy (I own 7) but I find their lawsuit to be really ridiculous, especially since these guitars have been produced for decades. One thing I do find odd is that Miyako plays quite a few different Gibson's on stage and you would think that Dean would have a major problem but I guess not.
@@guitarzen5999 that's a interesting point - Miyako is using a Gibson Futura 1957 (the Explorer with the offset-forked headstock!) on the last two songs of Knocking At Heaven's Gate, and a Les Paul I think on another song. I guess Dean are a bigger company than Gibson in that regards. I only have one Gibson - it's an '81 The 'V' CMT.
I love when Miyako plays Gibson guitars. I know that she is endorsed by Dean... But her two newest guitars are Gibsons to include her last which is a V.. She has a different Les Paul now along with a Futura and a flying V.
Funny you should say Rainbow, Miyako with the dean favors Blackmore, and Midori with the ESP Horizon II loves Yngwie. Miyako also loves Gary Moore stuff and, Midori, Bettencourt. So the different styles brought together is what makes them incredible, also they started when the original bassist (Miho) founded them in 2016 wanting to catch the power metal of the 80's with a more modern touch her idol was Steve Harris of Iron Maiden. I think Asami sounds alot like a female Dickinson in her operatic styling. Miho and drummer Haruna who loves Helloween formed Lovebites and brought everyone together. Miho had some tragedy in her family but stuck playing till 2021 when in August she left. After a year long hiatus in the summer of 2022 they held bass auditions and ended up selecting Fami, the young gal you have seen in both Judgement Day and Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'Em Down) videos. You will really appreciate them when you hear their live performances of songs like Holy War, Set The World On Fire, Break The Wall, Edge Of The World, and their diversity will shine through on pieces like A Frozen Serenade, Swan Song with Chopin Intro (2020), and If you like fast paced I'd suggest Shadowmaker. Also check out the double picking in sync on Signs of Deliverance, If you want to compare the bassists side by side The Awakening /Hammer of wrath with Miho, and The Hammer of Wrath live from Heavens Gate with Fami. You will see during Miyako's solo (after Midoris solo), Midori and Fami will play off each other the same way Midori and Miho did it the earlier recording. I assume it's a nod to her because that was the 1st released off new live album due out on the 23rd of August. Miyako here plays a Dean ML Switchblade Custom Run USA, specially built for her, yes she loves Dimebag! and the other guitar is her Signature Dean Flying V USA MYK. Midori is a ESP artist, she mosly plays E-II Horizon FR in Reindeer Blue and one Horizon in black for drop D tuning.
The versatility and musicianship of these ladies (also individually) is phenomenal. Drums and bass are really laying it down during these solos in this one.

Asami's first language is not English, but she lived in the States for a few years, so she is pretty good with her English vocals.
