i wish i could say that if a guy was discovered in most circles (at least in the US and likely elsewhere) wearing makeup outside of a movie set or performance stage that people wouldnt start giving him weird looks and making assumptions, but i think you do kind of inherently run that risk. thats why there seem to be so few male, and especially straight male makeup tuts on youtube. ive seen one or two tutorials for men done by women, they were basically just moisturizer + concealer. apparently any greater appearance enhancement than that still isnt considered very masculine, and even then people in the video seemed fairly apprehensive about it.
Dale Rebe thats back when deoderant was essentially the same as perfume. people used to care less about smell when electricity and indoor plumbing werent so ubiquitous. just being clean is not the same thing as make up to enhance your appearance. and shaving your face and taking care of whatever beard/ mustache you keep (if any) is a matter of hygeine. the first world values cleanliness.
but youare right that norms can and do change over time. for example, pink used to be considered more masculine and blue more feminine. now its the opposite. even so, i dont see anyubiquitous add campaigns for men's makeup products hitting tv screen any time soon, even now that weve had the first "coverboy"

foundation on top, thats actually pretty smart. SO MANY videos on contour (and just makeup in general) look super weird, because the highlight is so unlike their skin tone its all harsh brown and white, no midtones to be seen. putting light foundation on top fixes that issue!

The bright light makes it so difficult to see the before and after and how you have stippled the foundation in after your initial blending out of the contour. Still lots of tips and tricks to think about!

I really didn't notice a difference other then it was really dark and seemed a tad sloppy. I mean no offence. But it just seemed to me it was as if though you could of just used foundation and a bronzer for this. Maybe the lighting? I dunno. But I do love that hair color :)

jeel868 the same thing just find stuff in your shade your contour should be 2-3 shades darker than you and your highlight should be 2-3 shades lighter that your actual skin
I think makeup artist and special affects they do on movies is amazing, and i personal don't think makeup should only be worn by by a man or women, but I can't believe that makeup is such a big part of our daily lives now and that it is damaging the self confidence of people around the world that can't leave the house without makeup on or feel they need to change the shape of their face to the point they are unrecognisable, young girls especially on insta doing this and filters feeling not good enough unless the achieve this desired look is crazy, this is not good for self-esteem confidence building or raising of a new generation of beautiful individual people
