Just wanted to add Sims 2 aspects that you missed: 1) While DJing in Sims 2 is not a separate skill, if your sim DJs with low creativity, they will get booed, and you will notice their awkwardness in their performance, while high creativity skill shows a great improvement in their performance. 2) If you have Bon Voyage also installed, the Hula and Slap Dances are added to the competition, if the sim requesting a competition has learned them. Also, the Dance instructor at the hobby lot can teach those dances to your sim. 3) When dancing to a DJ Booth, Sims will gain the hidden club dancing skill faster (great for teens wanting the "Tsang Footwork Award"), at a designated "club" community lot. 4) Also, NPC DJs will also spawn where DJ Booths are placed: in the common areas at the dorms, as well as, at the Secret Society (needs University), the common areas at hotels (needs Bon Voyage), the common areas in apartments (needs Apartment Life) and they will also spawn on residential lots if your sim opens a home business (needs Open for Business). Also, any hidden lots (mostly player made), if you place a DJ Booth, a DJ will spawn. With mods, you can also hire them for residential lots (as the coding was already there for it). 5) Again, like the Dance Competitions, if your sim has learned any of the Bon Voyage dances, those options will also be available when clicking on the DJ Booth (that's how you get entire towns learning these dances, even those who never vacationed in the Islands). Just a forewarning, the Slap Dance quickly becomes the crowd favorite (overriding the Smustle). As for the Hula, it really is comical to see Sims performing the dance to fast club music❣ 6) Also, competing in Dance competions builds up the body skill, during competitions (while personality, aspiration and creativity determines how well a sim will dance, bonus points are added for high body skill too). Btw, the perfect combo to win most Dance competitions are 10 outgoing, maxed creativity and body, and the Popularity Aspiration. Sims 2 does have different dance moves available (even with DJ booths), depending on where they dance (i.e. a club, a different community lot, residential, etc.). While The Sims offers the most choices (radio stations) from the DJ booths, as well as the most dance types for each radio station, Sims 2 offers the most diversity in the dancing w/out a DJ Booth (because personality and aspiration are a bigger part here), more so than its successors Sims 3 & 4. To top it all off, Sims 2 has the most diverse sim animations with the DJ booth (if you don't believe me just watch the DJs, those dancing and those watching on the sidelines). Sims 4 did add some background glitz, but the sim animations are dull and repetitive. Therefore, Sims 2 wins for me❣
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing this! I really appreciate it! Sims 2 is such an in depth game, that I really discover new information every day, and I've been playing it since it came out ❤️❤️
@@tintaverse I am also discovering new things (even about the og The Sims), and started playing as soon as it released. There is so much more depth to Sims1-3, it easy to miss quite a bit. As for Sims 4, what you see, is what you get (animations are repeated, and since it stopped being a Life Simulator, and instead became a DLC Simulator, you need DLC for your DLC to get basic features, and cross-pack play often is never considered).
Nossa, eu amei essas curiosidades, se vc tiver mais sobre o jogo em si, pode falar, cada dia eu vejo que não sei tudo sobre o Sims 2, esses dias eu descobri que pode adotar pets de rua kkk.
I am currently working on a project comparing TS2 Personalties vs. Traits of TS3. If you want me to elaborate more on a specific area of TS2, just let me know (even I am still discovering aspects that I never knew before), I will be happy to expand on any aspect❣
You forgot to mention that in Sims 2, if the DJ has low creativity, he/she will occasionally play weird cartoonesque music before realising his/her mistake and quickly switching records again
@@gamingmoth4542 Can you please confirm if that is present in the TS2 Ultimate version? I know there is tons of problems with that version and been ages since I play these so wonder if that is something that needs adding / fixing too? As a side note lots of these animations are off and broken due to a simple fact (this might sound weird or hard to understand but hear me out) 99% of old games animations are locked to the frames per seconds usually it's locked up to 30 FPS and if you go above that the animation either doesn't happen or is broken choppy etc. Sometimes object freeze and float or glue themselves onto some other object and silly things like that. Depends of the game and code. Also why Sims needs to be unlocked to use multicores on CPU because far as I know it's locked to just one core (or two cant remember anymore) and needs fixing patching for systems that have multiple cores. That is also related to code and animations. Game wasnt coded to allocate the process for more. I am not sure about RAM tho I think that one doesn't need patching. I seen someone play TS2 on emulator and the FPS was above 30 so animations were broken and bowl and other object glued themselves to sim's hand etc. Things like these I never seen during my old gameplays on PS2. So the same principle is happening on PC and console games too. Some games simply are stuck in time and tech that was programed for and we need to recode everything from the ground up in order to make it work properly on new systems.
Man the attention to detail in Sims 2, from a game design perspective and limited tech at the time, is quite impressive. You can really tell the devs put some passion into it.
TS2 is even better on original gaming systems (Pentium 4 OS: WindowsXP) sadly we came to the point that it's hard to find old systems that actually work properly in some places you wont find them at all.
This might be my favorite comparison video to date. It was just sooo fun sims 1 really outdid themselves along with sims 2! I think out of all of these sims 3 might have my least favorite dj booth.
TS1 did it better ❤ I love that vibe and different dances 🫶🏻 TS1 music is everything 😂 Thanks for the great content! Your channel is my fave on youtube 😍 Always waiting new videos from you
If the High School Years pack is installed in conjunction with Get Together, a DJ booth can be placed in the auditorium for use during prom. It's much nicer to have that than the speakers that are usually used for prom.
I love the details when sims dance in The Sims 2, like how they get out of sync and don't know what part of the dance everyone is doing and they look lost! Also the music in The Sims 1 is so iconic, it always makes me dance 😭
While the Sims 1 is really impressive, for once I tend to think the Sims 4 wasn't that bad. No surprise here, I think the DJ Booth from the Sims 2 is my favorite but the 4 is nice and I like the group dances. Too bad the animations are a little bit dull, but I mean, it's Sims 4.
I can’t believe we have that much styles of dance in sims 1 and in sims 4 They can dance slow with their partners listening to heavy metal because THEY DONT CARE, they are not even listening. What a shame.
it's varies base off the DJ table and gameplay overall for all the sims games in my opinion for it in the sims 2 due to the best dancing, the sims 3 due to the best look of a DJ booth, and the sims 1 and 4 for having a more variety of music genre. and two questions 1. how did that started in the sims 2 between Cassandra and Dina? 2. is it me or does that blonde female sim in the sims 2 version who appears in most of your comparison vids look like Dina in the sims 2?
I adore TS1 music. But to me the winner here is TS2. It's really feels like a party, so much noises and people laughs. TS3 is the outsider. TS4 is boring and feels unnatural
Review time: Sims 1: I'm impressed. They change their dancing style each genre. I like that detail. However it might be a little bit akward if Sims stop dancing automatically when their fun bar is filled. Still looks like a lit party though. Solid 8/10 Sims 2: Now this feels like a party. The crowd is loud you can even hear them from outside. The music is nice and the crowd is cheerful. You forgot to add the detail if sims use the booth with low creativity they'll get booed. I kinda miss when they switch their dancing style each genre but that's OK. The other good aspects make up for it. Lastly I love the dancing contests. 8,5/10 Sims 3: The DJ booth looks fire. However the atmosphere downgraded a lot. This feels more like a bar than an actual party. It felt really boring watching this. 3/10 Sims 4: I'm glad the crowd is more active again. I love how the DJ is able to change the other sims' mood. It adds a nice touch to it. It isn't as active as the Sims 2 but I love how they can do a choreograph together. 7,5/10 Winner: Sims 2 (with Sims 1 as a very close Runner Up) Loser: Sims 3 (This is based on my own opinion and you can rate the games as you please)
Something that annoys me on the sims 4 is that every single new thing that I do is a new different skill. And learning the new skills takes too much time, and the game rolls too fast.

Grim Reaper: "Yeah, sorry about your loss, but this disco party is sick!"
his job is pretty stressful, who could blame him haha ❤️
lol he’s funny
You forgot to mention that in Sims 2, if the DJ has low creativity, he/she will occasionally play weird cartoonesque music before realising his/her mistake and quickly switching records again
Yes! But it didn't happen for me unfortunately ❤️
And Sims stop dancing too
They’ll also occasionally juggle with their headphones and nearly drop them causing a loud commotion as they try to catch them.
@@gamingmoth4542 Can you please confirm if that is present in the TS2 Ultimate version? I know there is tons of problems with that version and been ages since I play these so wonder if that is something that needs adding / fixing too?

The Sims 1 is pretty impressive here. Love the different dances. 😊
I really enjoyed them! It brought back such a big nostalgia ❤️
Sims 1 is adorable. You can tell it was made with love
That awkward dancing after the fire absolutely sent me 😂💀
She almost died, then immediately went dancing ❤️

She deserves it for what she did to Bella
This might be my favorite comparison video to date. It was just sooo fun sims 1 really outdid themselves along with sims 2! I think out of all of these sims 3 might have my least favorite dj booth.
Thank you so much dear! I'm glad you enjoyed it! ❤️❤️
In sims 1, the dance floors have also unique patterns depending on the music style 😊
The sims 1 is just incredible lol
The attention to detail is pure gold ❤️
im glad grandma had fun before she passed, she was killin it literally
1:30
They made different animations!?
And this is WITHOUT Mocap!
❤️❤️❤️
The Sims 1 did it better. I love the integration with the dance floor and the different dances.
Sims 2 DJ be really high on something there 😂😂
Adding 80s disco music to the housemix folder in Sims 2 is the best.
Casandra Goth breaking down on the dance floor kills me for some reason💀
Omg I want an 8 hour video of just the original sims songs and dancing, that was incredible
The Grim Reaper has a very stressful job. He deserves to have some fun once in a while 😔
haha I agree! ❤️
TS1 did it better ❤ I love that vibe and different dances 🫶🏻 TS1 music is everything 😂

Oh man, dj music from Sims 3 was my favourite, i could listen it for hours
Same. I loved listening to the music in the options tab for hours as a kid 😂
The beach dance is so funny
I loved it too ❤️
Sims 2 was literally a gift from Heaven.
How I wish Sims 1 for GameCube and PS2 had this much passion put into it.
This just made me realize that only the sims 1 & 2 have memorable music
I think Sims 1 did it the best, followed by Sims 4.
❤️❤️❤️
Such good fun with 1. 2 & 3!! Remember "The Grind" dance club where sims danced on tables and there were lots of cool lighting?
The different dance styles....omg I love it!!!
Who knew grim reaper got moves?
The music at 4:20 sounds kinda like Darude Sandstorm 😂
I think the original Sims did it the best
I love seeing the sims Dancing changing when the Music changes in sims 1
Sims 3 seems like the worst cause nobody dances! Maybe it’s because they don’t have a proper dance floor? :(
They do have a dance floor, but they just preferred to watch the performance ❤️
I love your videos! Thanks for the content! As for me, the DJ booth is the best, namely Sims 3)
Thank you so much dear!! ❤️❤️
Woo first comment ! Can you do all of the ways to bring back sims to life in all games next ?
Sure! Thank you so much for watching dear❤️❤️

TS3 is really similar to TS2 here why is everhone acting like it's the worst????
Very few Sims dancing, just standing around watching, it's a bit sparse
If it weren’t for the cleaner graphics, sims 4 would simply suck at everything

I actually like that most things are skills. I find it fun to see my sim start out sucking at something and seeing them improve with each level up.
Content and depth are not the same thing. Sims 4 has a lot of content but lacks the depth its predecessors have.
