Dude! So glad to see you preaching about those life jackets. Too many people have drowned with their jackets floating on the lake beside them. And many of those who did drown were incredibly good swimmers.
Ah, it's good to see the boat in the water again!! Still have a few weeks till I can do the same up here but that's ok, need to do some work to the boat before the season starts anyway. Looking forward to trying a few new lures out this year, top among them are the Dragonslayer jig bodies!! Tight lines, everyone!!
I have the ultra light version of your boat. An Alumacraft Crappie Jon. I do have a Helix 8 up front. I do like Alumacraft! Now I'm gonna watch the fishing.
I haven't seen Jonny in probably atleast 15 years, besides your kbi video he won with his cousin i believe. Grew up there and went to school with his bro.
Hey Jay! What bow protector is on your trailer? I just bought myself a new rig and I’m very particular about my things. I have a towtector on my hitch and actually had my boat wrapped in paint protection film, but that’s just for protection on the upper portion of the boat. Anyway, what brand is that? I like that you can still wipe the entire boat down with that one installed.
Omg u liked my comment wow 🤩 I’ve been so passionate about walleye fishing because I have been watching you a lot during covid, I watched u mainly on the ice and I am going to get a electronic to help me find fish I have everything to ice fish but a fish finder/flash and much knowledge on the lakes here, I’ve gone a couple time and nothing. I live in Ontario I’m near Toronto just about 30mins north and I moved here from Brazil a couple years back so I’m still every new to the lakes here and I’m currently limited to shore fishing but i got a summer job and I’m working on saving for a boat.
Great show Jay, but I have legit question, how come all the boats yours claytons and Aaron’s all are handle to motor and not steering wheel ones? I’m just curious!
To add, they grew up guiding and had that style boat. It’s what they know and are comfortable with. It allows you to backtroll/keep you on the spot much easier. Pre trolling motors.
I was just up their a week or two ago and did really good really close to the lake I can give you the exact spot we were fishing MN side but were right on border if you want the spot let me know just DM me on instagram
@@williamknoop3631 Question: "Do I need to call into Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) if I want to fish the Canadian side of the Rainy River after launching on the U.S. side of the river?" Answer: "No. As long as you are not touching land in Canada, touching or exchanging any items, taking anything on board or touching a dock, you are allowed to navigate back and forth from the U.S. and Canada without contacting CBSA or U.S. Customs upon your return. If you were to step foot on ice, that is a game changer as ice by definition for crossing the border equals land and check in then would be required." lakeofthewoodsmn.com/can-i-fish-the-canadian-side-of-the-rainy-river-during-the-spring-season/
Quick!!! Re-post so I can be first!!
What if you guys did a video were it’s jay, Aaron, and Clayton, vs the wife’s

Literally haha

Haha my bad
Jay,
You are a step above many who are making their living on Toutube. The chemistry with you and Johnny is very endearing! Unpretentious. Thank you!
Dude! So glad to see you preaching about those life jackets. Too many people have drowned with their jackets floating on the lake beside them. And many of those who did drown were incredibly good swimmers.
Accidents happen. I want to prevent it as much as I possibly can.
Drink every time he says Johnny! 🍻
would be plastered in 2 mins
Good luck!
Gotta love the matching shirts and life jacket.
Its a style
I don’t get on the rainy that often but when I do it’s always a great time.
Being from Minnesota this is some of the best walleye fishing to be had. Crazy I was ice fishing the lake 3 weeks ago.
Let's goooo! 2021, the year of Jay Siemens! Woooo.
Your videos are such a blast. I enjoy the tips and tricks and honestly just the pure fun you have in each one!

Thought it was only catch and release open
Sweet video Jay! it just sucks that you get to keep fish over on the Canadian side and we can’t on the American side I’m pretty jealous.
I’d trade the Walleye to be able to fish for Sturgeon! Thanks for watching!
Awesome!! Your content is second to none, Jay!

Hey Jay, can you do a panoptix installation/overview for how you set it up on your boat? All the best man

The hardest pulling fish in the vid was the sucker🤣🤣🤣
That looked like a GREAT day!
It really was!
Huh might have to put that spot on my bucket list LoL

Hey sorry I'm not too sure. But I bought it locally in Kenora at Woodlake Marine.

The size of the tail on some of those Walleye's are HUGE!!

Awesome! What net is that? I am in the market and that looks like one I really want!
Will catch and cook come too stores?
Yes! Check out the store locator on catchandcook.net to find the closest one to you!
Until when are walleye still biting when do u call it to go home ?

Spring walleyes >>>
Yesss
What is your favorite lure for walleye?
Swimbait!
Great show Jay, but I have legit question, how come all the boats yours claytons and Aaron’s all are handle to motor and not steering wheel ones? I’m just curious!
There is more room that would be taken up by the steering counsel👍

Yes! And much better boat control with the tiller
Jay, amazing sized Walleye. Great video. What measuring board are you using in this video. Keep up the great work.
Muskie bumper I think
@@JaySiemens THanks

My favourite tactic

How do you like your Honda motor?

Awesome!
Hey James I know where that spot is but just curios if I can get to that spot from birchdale landing or if I have to land at Franz jevne landing?
How much do they weigh
Man those walleye were a weird color. In Alberta they are hard green or gold type color. Those looked blue and whitr
Johnny, do you know the Lundgren family in rainy river..they're my cousins...

You are pretty good at this you should do it for a living!

Whoop whoop Open water......

maybe if this video gets to 10,000 likes you can tell us Jonny's secret trick.
Johnny's just magic
"It's not big...probably a sucker" = automatic 28 inch walleye
Nooooooo more ice fishing 😂😂😂😂
I need a break haha
@@JaySiemens we need winter back 😂😂
Wait, you can keep them on the Canadian side? It's catch and release only across that imaginary line!!
Yup!
Jon o Connor is a legend when are you starting a you tube channel
Agreed
Your so good
Thank you!!
Hey
Johnny
Great guy!
To big to eat? I've never gone fishing for walleye so I need to ask why?
Different restrictions for different areas!
@@JaySiemens thank you for the response. I never knew a fish could be to big to keep!
What, still no Sam?
You'll see her this summer. Johnny is a close second
first one
I was just up their a week or two ago and did really good really close to the lake I can give you the exact spot we were fishing MN side but were right on border if you want the spot let me know just DM me on instagram
Crossing the border in these situations only refers to land, you’re allowed to be in a boat and fish on the other side.
Nope wrong. Very incorrect. Check your source

That’s why they’re wearing the red flannel..duh...to identify as Canadians, so DNR can see who’s who.
@@Tundra21dc1 they were saying in the video that they couldn’t cross over to the American side of the river.
@@erikwiebe333 they can cross over to the Canadian side all they want but to fish on that side is illegal as of right now
Poor walleye.... just been smashed on low. than they go spawn dead ass tired in the rainy and can’t get a break
Limit your catch, don't catch your limit!
2 words - Where's Sam!
She says hi!! You'll see her this summer.
Canadian side> mn side
First
IM EARLY LETS GO
I don't think you're allowed to keep any walleyes on the rainy River
On the Canadian side yes.
