In this video I travel to Nashville, TN to take delivery of my BRAND NEW 2023 BMW M1000RR. I have been waiting on this bike for a LONG time. What makes this even more special is that I was able to take delivery at the same time that my boy Kudas took delivery of his brand new 2023 Ducati Panigale V4R. Afterwards, we go for a cruise for the first time and I give my initial thoughts of the bikes.

I highsided at 70 mph when an old man blue shelled me with his toyota sienna @ 9 pm in the middle of nowhere. He left me on the side of the road and didnt even stop. I had a punctured lung, full grade concussion, broken collarbone, fractured shoulder blade, a 14 stitch gash on my leg, and 10 breaks on 6 ribs. I very easily could have bled out and died on the side of the road right there and the only reason im alive is because i had gear on and i still managed to call 911 and stay conscious even though i have 0 memory of anything after the crash until i was at the hospital. The EMTs and Docs all said theyve seen people die from less.

I wear the TechAir 5 in 90°+ Weather in MD in full leathers most days. A key for me is an Under Armor iso-chill base layer and RideKnit. Because let’s face it the airbag is like wearing a trash bag. If you don’t have airflow it gets sweaty fast. When you have airflow the base layer keeps you cool and is an enormous help.
I’m in Florida. I deal with the same thing. I am going to get one. Is isochill better than the heat gear
@@hoomancan. as far as I can tell it is better. It actually feels cooler to the touch and when airflow hit it, it really feels like it is cooling you. This could be all in my head, but I have 3 sets now. Always under my leathers. Makes them easier to get off too.
I love how the vest goes up to 4X.But the leather coat that should be worn over It is meant for a guy 180 poundon't .I'm excited that Alpinestars is going to make an American cut jacket and/or suit.And thank you, Chris, for being so informative and providing us a great discount

Don't plug it in as soon as you get home. That's why your smartphone barley holds charge anymore. Its always best practice to let it die completely, but with a product like this, and a company claiming 3-4 weeks, just charge it every two and minimize as needed. Don't ruin the battery so you have to buy a new one in a year, cause I bet the batteries are not replaceable.

Does your insurance cover your riding gear? If you don’t have it get it through your motorcycle insurance. Spend the money on good quality rated gear.
Man I i went down twice a high-side and low-side not as bad a D but still the highside was bad but I had full gear! Just bruised my elbow!
Definitely need to talk to Chris and see if he carries gear for bigger guys like him and myself. Us big guys would like to be super safe like this also when going out on rides.

Just bought the tech air 5 today and immediately out of the box it doesn't charge. I use another micro USB cable from a speaker I have and it starts charging then falls right out of the port. Called alpinestars and they said to "call back some other time" since they wont be able to work with me right now. Returning it tomorrow.
Video on the day to day shoes....racing boots are great but RARELY worn, where as I have a full collection of TCX, Astar, Sidi Dainese shoes that I wear as I dont go to the track...all the different features (retaining shoe strings vice tucking them in is a GAME CHANGER!!). Episode on JEANS and the different options..I want a pair but trying to figure out what it get is a lot. THe differences in gloves...ie a 65 dollar pair of shorty gloves compared to a gauntlet that is 300 dollars...
I am wondering if there will be airbags for legs? This might be tough to do. So rolling over and or getting hit by cars below the belt is scary.

Okay I am an alpine star lover like I raced motocross for years n wore nothing but Astar gear but I am a stocky guy n I like comfortable gear and jackets I have huge issue with going to cycle gear or any where to find an Astar jacket that fits me n it crushes me cuz I want a couple different styles of jackets
