    I like how you continue to use the Konnected KJ and in different ways. I will say a standard in Philly for a cheesesteak is just shaved ribeye, fried onions, and either American, Provolone, or Whiz. My opinion is a hard seeded bread is best to not get a soggy sandwiches. Keep them coming, the videos are great!

      Thanks so much and it's fun showing some versatility on the konnected joe. Thanks so much for the tips on the traditional philly cheesesteaks. I didn't thinking about fried onions and good idea on the seeded bread!

    Great video. Thinking of getting one for my big Joe. Question. What kind of a mess does it make since there is no grease capture setup for the griddle. Seems like it can be a real mess in the bottom. Thx

    • @BartlowsBBQ
      @BartlowsBBQ  Год назад

      Thank you so much! There is a greese opening on the front of the griddle to discard stuff. Clean up is normal griddle style cleaning removing debris, spray down with water, and oil for the next cook. It’s a great accessory! I hang my accessories in my garage for storage.

    Hi, I just bought my first grill KJ2, I’m thinking about getting the griddle pan but I’m not really sure how to clean it after use.

    • @BartlowsBBQ
      @BartlowsBBQ  Год назад

      Congrats, welcome to Team Red! You simply use warm water and sift sponge when it's cool. Right after use it there are stubborn spots, you can add water and use plastic spatula to scrub off stuff. Once cool, you'll re-oil before each new cook.

    Looks delicious! Couple of quick questions. Is the Konnected Joe designed to run the griddle attachment with the lid open or closed? What kind of oil did you use to season the griddle? Similar question but what kind of oil did you put on the peppers and onions? I enjoy your videos, keep up the good work!

    • @BartlowsBBQ
      @BartlowsBBQ  Год назад

      Thanks, it was delicious! I used vegetable oil for seasoning but any high smoke point oil works. I used olive oil for the peppers and onions plus added W sauce which I felt amped the flavor. The konnected joe prompts you during the initial light to open the lid when using griddle mode to get it lit but then closing it after it lights (after 10 minutes) and then opening for cooking on the griddle. Thank you for watching the channel and let me know if there is anything else you want to see.

    Is there anything out there in 24” like this griddle ? It would fit the big Joe and my Weber summit charcoal - would LOVE a circular griddle with the raised edge
    Any help appreciated 👍🙏

    Scott, what's the weight of the Carbon Steel griddle like compared to the half moon cast iron please. A bit of arthritis setting in in the hands so lighter is better for me.

    • @BartlowsBBQ
      @BartlowsBBQ  Год назад +1

      The Karbon Steel Griddle is 14 lbs and half moon cast iron is 8 Ibs. The Karbon Steel in general will be more light weight compared to cast iron. In this case, your feeling with the full size karbon steel griddle vs half moon. Cleaning is easier on karbon steel as well.

    Shame that all new KJ videos are the konnected version. Most people won’t have this grill and it seems gimmicky. I don’t want my grill to be a computer.
