I like how this song is Yharon telling Yharnim to snap out of his depression and face the terrarian before its too late. But Yharnim, blinded by his family's demise isn't focusing on how the terrarian is destroying his whole plan and he wont recognize the fact that his impending doom is approaching. Its amazing to see how a boss isn't just saying their better and will defeat you, but acknowledging the fact they're possibly weaker and they fight regardless. And it makes a banging song.
Or it's Yharon no realizing that Yharnim wants the Terrarian to end everything they've built up. Yharnim is watching his Rome burn around him, before willingly stepping into the fires himself.
i love how with the first verse you think "oh its just saying the boss is hard" then you hit the second and you go "wait who is it talking about?" then you hit the third and you realize its from the dragons POV then you hit the chorus and it clicks that the dragon isn't your problem, you're the dragons problem.
@@deltahizuro7689 Yes, that’s why the second phase starts off the way it does. You’d _think_ you just killed Yharon, but he comes back in blazing fire, hence “The air is getting warmer around you…” and him regenerating all of his health.
I swear the further into Calamity you get, the more you realise you're just a bloodthirsty killer who came into the world for next to no reason other than to spite all who stand before them

Not really. At the end of Calamity you can befriend the Elementals, befriend Calamitas, and resurrect biomes. Calamity Terrarian is the opposite of Vanilla Terrarian. as someone who recently finished calamity, i can agree. And I didn't know it was phase 2 so i got a bit concerned the theme wasn't playing and when it started playing all i wanted was to survive
After all that metal gear rising stuff recently i realised how this song is heavily inspired by the boss themes in that game. Like, it's the only boss theme in calamity with (coherent) lyrics, and it tells about yharon's fear of being defeated by the player and warning yharim about your power. It gives you much more of an insight on how the enemy feels about what is happening without directly telling it to the player, but rather using the song lyrics to do so. Precisely the same formula seen in all of the MGRR boss themes. (except for maybe rules of nature, since it's used in more than 1 fight) And not to talk about the song elements themselves, like the song taking on a stronger tone around the middle of the song, along with the lyrics getting more direct on what they're trying to tell, which is a thing hat pretty much all the boss themes do to have more of an impact. Yeah, i guess the inspiration is definitely pretty clear when i talk about it this way.

I've heard the theme ALOT in watching people play calamity, decided to finally give it a listen and it's fire, but after watching this video and the lyrics whiplashed me with their meaning, I got sad 🤣🤣
I think the lyrics are honestly really telling in a lot of way, because by the type your ready to fight Yharon, you are literally higher than the Gods, have killed a fair amount of them to even get to the point to challenge Yharon, so it makes sense that Yharon is legitimately terrified for his master considering at this point the character is a literal near unstoppable God who has slayed all of the other gods
I found this song by accident. When I first heard the lyrics I just thought this was a bop. … Then I listened to it again and actually payed attention to the lyrics. This song is really depressing.

I almost want for yharon to win the battle i almost want for it to be impossible to win by player because just look at him yharon is such a good boy he doesnt deserve death
If it's 'almost' impossible then the entire meaning behind the song and the whole of calamity will be in vain as the dragon can't beaten and therefore the verses of the song will be useless, plus the impossible yharon will just mean that whatever the player worked towards was useless as the dragon can't be beaten and therefore it's useless to even try
last year I listened to roar of the jungle dragon, stained brutal calamity and Universal collapse multiple times a day every day in a Privated playlist on Spotify called 'ok'. since the end of 2021, I've found more music that I like, and made a new playlist. all three are still there along with some other calamity music and all my new stuff. in conclusion, I'm definitely a fan.
When he's finally added, he'll manage to be even more difficult than Supreme Calamitas, given how she bluntly states he's her superior in terms of raw power and why she chose to hide from him rather than challenge him.
....................... You know I've heard this a bit while I was waiting for things to update/my computer to be able to handle it lol. But actually hearing it while playing a Rogue and literally back stabbing this Good Boi makes me question everything.
This is a perspective from an enemy that you rarely see in video games, but one that is horribly terrifying. Yharon will likely beat you time and time again, but you *do not stay dead* Eventually, given enough time and enough *determination* Yharon will fall to you despite all his efforts Eventually the pattern of attacks will become second nature, you will survive the battle longer and longer Your victory is *absolute* But they stall you anyway so that the ones they care about can find peace Isn't that right... *Sans*

My friends were yelling at me to attack the boss instead of just dodging and listening to the song
Man I just know the fight against Yharim is coming soon and honestly I really am expecting it to be insane
When he's finally added, he'll manage to be even more difficult than Supreme Calamitas, given how she bluntly states he's her superior in terms of raw power and why she chose to hide from him rather than challenge him.
"Its just a mod."
The mod:
1:01 Me after 15 seconds of listening to the lyrics
Nice hard bass
i force myself to dodge just to hear his theme
When youre in calamity endgame and destroy every boss with 1k hours of experience : THE ENEMY ASCENDED BEYOND YOUR CONTROL
bro ;-; the fight wasnt long enough i wish he healed 4 times
the song is SO FUCKING GOOD i want to listen to it longer
.......................
Yharon will likely beat you time and time again, but you *do not stay dead*
Eventually, given enough time and enough *determination* Yharon will fall to you despite all his efforts
Eventually the pattern of attacks will become second nature, you will survive the battle longer and longer
Your victory is *absolute*
But they stall you anyway so that the ones they care about can find peace
Isn't that right... *Sans*
