I just got into turtle wow a few weeks ago and scoured the forums/discord to find out about the mods/addons, and I love that process but onboarding friends with this new very user-friendly addon/mod manager, and updater is a massive help! This is so awesome! Thanks for the informative video! Looks clean too!!
While listening to the explanation, many questions arose. Yes, but vanilla fixes, yes, but addons, etc. But everything is included. This is really great, what an improvement!

I did get the hang of simpler addons but there are some that id like to put in game but dont seem to work properly. This will make things much easier for me to find and install. I absolutely love the approach that TurtleTeam chooses to give their players what we didn't know we need! Private server that gets a server for the eastern and central asian players, and finally, the official RU version. THANK YOU GUYS!

While I think the HD mods are still in need of updating from the community folk who do that, I think you might like the team's approach to addons and mods in the release version of the launcher.
Besides offering very useful functions it is looking fantastic and very reminiscent of the older wow launchers with a touch of the new battlenet in there. Love it. This will truly be a "game-changer" down the road, especially for new people.
Now that is a quality launcher 😁 has everything we need to boot! Going to make getting people into turtle wow easier to so very happy for that. Edit : launcher is still mostly broken. For those using any additions or tweaks just dont use it to avoid problems if ur still playing
Looking forward to this! Actually getting into TurtleWoW on the Vanilla client can be quite challenging for new players. Managing addons, VanillaFixes, Tweaks etc. If such fundamental configuration will be delivered with the launcher then I am expecting even more players to join.
I'm not seeing the DXVK/Vanilla Fixes/Nampower/SuperWowhook.dll options in the mods tab... is there anything specific that I should do to make the appear? All these dlls are already there and working, so they should show up, right?

good. finally I can download the updates without launching the game. The old way I need to always keep an eye on the download progress because it keeps on disconnecting during the update and I need to relogin to resume download.

Yes, similar issue the game updated , but the turtle patcher launcher freeze up and doesn't install the new launcher , I feel yeah bro frustrating , wonder if we should just delete the game and reinstall 🙃
That isn't part of this, that'll be more of a turtle 2.0 idea, I know the old macros are difficult, but plenty in the community have already published like 99% of what you might be looking for. You might want to start there.
Hearing more and more having issues with patch files and error 131 and 132, devs ignoring this becuse they dont know how to fix it? do i need to just quit a game i want to play so badly???

From what I understood it will be already part of the game client so you don't have to bother about it separately. That's how I understood it. It's not listed in addons, it's listed under launcher settings.
Seems I returned at a good time . Was getting fomo with the official rerelease of vanilla and after a min im like fuck that I have TWoW and boom im back !

Sorry, but since the changes, I haven't been able to play at all. Therefore, this game has been deleted. When you guys get it working again, I'll consider it.
Right now language support is just for the launcher, not for the client, but I think the team is aiming to get people from the community to help make the launcher translated locally.
The HD patch was and still continues to be a community run project, the team hasn't officially endorsed it, so if you're interested in that see if you can help. ;-)
Do they plan to make locks not loose soul shards on duels? Im a dueler and like dueling outside capitals for a long time and the most frustrating thing is telling my friend to stop our fun and make him wait while i go off to farm shards to continue dueling
I'm only telling you what they told me if there isn't a direct download link then you can just download the client itself because the client should now have the launcher within it.
This is a nice upgrade, but still behind it all is the clunky af vanilla client, which is running like crap even with vanilla fixes :D And these old addons are so limited compared to modern classic. But I guess we can't have it all for free :D
The baked in addon download alone is a huuuuge win, let alone the easier nature of getting started. Well done!

1.17.2 was released on November 1st, weeks before the launcher. Updating your client will get you the launcher.
every time i try to install an addon using this method it says "failed to update" or "missing .toc file" how do i fix that

Oh I can answer this one, you can sign in with different accounts and have different profiles.

Not technically. You will need it to update your client, but once that is done, if you prefer you can still manually start wow from executable.
