    One thing to note that is not mentioned is, if you have a cult in a location but no buildings built in that cult region, you will NOT be hidden, if the city is razed but contains a cult you will NOT be hidden, regardless if buildings are built, so keep these things in mind.

      @@PuddingXXL you never got an answer , so you get one from me. just playing the changeling and it seems to be fixed. i did not have any issue. i play the changeling only on the immortal empires campaign. Here there seems to be another bug. i do not seem to be able to use the portals. i can deploy them just as described , but i do not seem to be able to enter them . i am utterly confused to why this is , but that seems to be the status quo as of today.

    I can’t believe this isn’t covered but one of the biggest benefits you can get right out of the gate is the free trickster cultist you receive from completing the starting quest. Use him in talebecland and choose the military cult to give yourself high tier military buildings for FREE turn 2 right out the gate. You now have a way to build out your army centered in the middle of reikland in the largest region possible and can use this as your “hub” for restocking armies and recovering between schemes. Use trickster cultists in this way to create your makeshift hub every time you move into a new region. Target the largest region and make a military base. All other areas in the region can spot check whatever it is you need such as gold, tomes, and corruption whatever

      Or you can use it in Drakenhoff to easily get set up to get the Tzeentch corruption up enough to complete that scheme, and you dont need a whole lot early on, i only build an army of about 15 or 16 for the first 60 turns or so, you dont need more than that,

      Creating a simbiotic cult in Castle Drakenhof is always better, you gain the income of the best settlement in the area and you can complete one of the scheme missions easier by recruiting a lord there to increase tzeentch corruption.

      Transfer a settlement someone is garrisoned in to another faction and it’ll boot the army out.

    This guy was already my favorite campaign before I got the courage for Very Hard difficulty. To be frank I went with him for my first Very Hard campaign so I’d have less to worry about, being that he has no territory to defend, no public order, and is impossible to pin down unless you wander away from your cults.
    But considering how overtuned all your enemies become on higher difficulties the campaign became even more fulfilling. Going unga-bunga already wasn’t really an option as Changeling, but I found myself having to plan ahead, bide my time, attack weak points to spread cults and spam Changing of Ways just to get anywhere. I cracked up when I weakened Yuan Bo a little bit and Miao Ying decided to bail her brother out…by Confederating him. Scheme accomplished.
    True Tzeentch experience, and I’m loving every second of it.

    i have a question, maybe someone knows something.
    so i am playing this campaign in the Immortal empires setting and i can deploy the rifts. yet i do not seem to be able to use them. i can choose an army or the changeling but i cannot click on the portals. anyone knows why or if i miss something ? i mean the portals also seem to be partially bugged with Be'Lakor in his IE campaign. because when you want to create a portal , they offer you to click on basicly all armies , be them neutral , friendly or enemies , but the portal will only appear if you choose an army that you own yourself. not even heroes work. if you choose something else , the skill is on CD and used but there is no portal. This is especially irritating, because when you click on the skill all these mentioned above have a blinking circle around them , as if they were legal targets. Is this bugged ? i tried to look it up , but i could not find any explenation. And now creating portals with the changeling that i cannot use , seems like a total waste and i am utterly confused.

    3:13 I had a campaign, where my lord died and all cults got discovered. AI did nothing to them. So I don't think it is possible to lose with Changeling.

    they are going to make cross faction confederation a thing eventually. mostly between chais factions. this will probably be implemented with nagash in a vamp expansion. he will probably be styled like daniel with cross confederation with all undead factions.

    Sigvald can get blue scribes? I haven't played him but I thought he was moved to the Slaanesh subfunction with Azazel.

      Nope, they wanted to keep the TWW1 WoC undivided, though he starts with the ability to mark for slaanesh

      he's more Slannesh associated (his personal army really doesn't deal well with recruiting or maintaining Khorne units) and his faction certainly has a Slaanesh lean but his faction as a whole can go pretty much undivided (though generally always with a slight Slaanesh lean) so while he can't confederate all the other lords like Archaon and Be'lakor can he's still overall considered an undivided faction like Kholek.

    How does putting in cults work in coop? Can I only use the heroes on the settlements my friends own? Or can I just go up to their settlements and establish a cult without attacking?

      You're probably best off using the hero to set up the initial cult and then build one of the cult spreading buildings from there. Or attack an enemy settlement next to your partner and then have them spread to your partner.

    Doubtful I will get an answer, but I must know: Does his unique line to upgrade his transformation give him their unique quest gear as a power/buff? Example: Skarbrand Slaughter and Carnage.

      Items won't be applied. In campaign you need to level up the changeling enough to take an ability to gain your opponents abilities and spells. Don't know if that is baseline for multiplayer
      OP as hell since you can clone Vlad pretty early on as well as Ghoritch. There is almost no empire hero early game that can take you down ^^

    So this did help explain the choices in Parasitic and Symbiotic, but I still have questions about some things. When it comes to people like Empire or any other good-side faction would it be beneficial to NOT be symbiotic towards them and make it difficult for them, even in their Main Settlements? Or I guess it depends on the player? I just wonder what is most beneficial for us as the Changeling? Buff the enemies because it gives us more favor, or make it harder for them, but not benefit as much? Answers would be nice. xD

      In my experience every faction is your playground but you really want to be symbiotic with wealthy factions, man or creature especially so you benefit from their wealth. And later on you can do what you wish with them, let the change commence!

    Personally I think his cults should be destroyed if razed or the owner loses the city
    Would make more sense buffing the city and keeping your main guys your leeching off alive

    it would be fun if when the changling changed to become a different character, even though it doesnt have the items it could make it look like it does to change the AIs behaviour even though the stats remain the same
    Like you could be a character that has a possible magic line and melee line so you make the AI think you have gone down the melee line so they act differently

    I've gotta say, this is starting to feel worth the 25 dollars for me. At least for me personally. I like Tzeentch, a lot, and this seems like the perfect Tzeenchian faction to me. No world domination, just.. leeching off of other's success, easy to manage, nigh impossible to lose but for good reason (you're basically a minor thorn in everyone's side with ulterior motives), and an incredibly unique campaign. And then it gets 2 extra lords? It's not for everyone, which is why I still don't support the price, but I think I'm personally gonna get it at the near end of pre-orders.

      not 2 extra lords, the Blue Scribes and Aekold Hellbrass are both Legendary Heroes and Aekold is FLC so you get him even without the DLC.
      I'd still say it looks worth it personally, which is why I pre-ordered.
      also, it's pretty nice how the stuff in the DLC benefits some other races too, the new Tzaangors are being added to the Beastman roster and I've heard that the Incarnate Elemental of Beasts that Kislev is getting is being given to the Beastmen too (lorewise it really should be given to the Empire as well. it was generally said to be something summoned by Bray Shamans or Amber Wizards, Kislev having access to them is new).
      not heard anything about it but I wouldn't be surprised if the Beastmen also got the Cockatrice that Tzeentch is getting since that was also always a Beastman unit (certainly more of a Beastman one than a Tzeentch one, honestly seems like a bit of an odd choice for the Tzeentch roster). if they did, they'd be benefitting from this Lord Pack almost as much as the races that are actually included in it.
      either way, I'd bet a fair bit of money that this winter's DLC will have Pestigors that the Beastmen will also get.
      mind you, in terms of actual Legendary Lords included in the DLC alongside the Changeling, while Yuan Bo looks pretty meh (at least in my opinion) it's always possible that Ostankya will be on the same scale of quality as the Changeling. if nothing else it certainly looks like she and Kislev got the most love in terms of unit designs.

      Most unique faction mechanics the AI is unable to use, have you ever seen Ikit use the workshop or Wood elves make use of rituals? The AI is to dumb or not programed well enough to use such mechanics, the ones they do get to use run on a turn timer for the game to give them stuff like doom rockets or changing of the ways

      @@xLs58x the Wood Elves apparently can make use of the rituals, apparently it's been causing a bug where it messes with the player unlocking Ariel properly if the AI does a ritual before you do (it's listed as a known bug by CA, and frankly if the AI wasn't supposed to do rituals at all I feel like that'd be the bug listed rather than some issue with Ariel's unlock caused by the AI beating you to it)
      but yeah, what little they do use is certainly not used properly in the same way the player does, though the fact that Tzeentch seemingly just randomly uses any changing of the ways on anyone (even directly benefitting their enemies at times) does feel like the most Tzeentchy way the AI could do things... blatent cheating, sometimes in their opponent's favour.
      the AI definitely does make use of some mechanics though, Skaven Undercities are one they certainly have (though they're awful at managing discoverability and they most certainly have some kind of cheat in place to let them make so many so often) so I'd expect whatever AI they have managing that kind of thing would work for the Changeling too. AI Cathay would seem to have the compass too, and it most certainly has the caravans. same for AI Chaos Dwarfs and the Tower of Zharr, heck, that mechanic kinda relies on the AI having it too to an extent.
      and there are at least a few cases where only major AI factions have mechanics (e.g. only major Greenskin factions having WAAAGHs. if they end up confederated by minor Greenskin factions due to their confederation mechanics it ends up utterly crippling them since the minor factions are seemingly incapable of doing WAAAGHs)

      I think they expect no one to pay for it full price, so they upcharged it so that it'll cost more when it's on sale, which is when people will buy it.

      This DLC feels like a scam. Barely any news units, only 2 lords for already existing factions. They're probably testing the waters, and if the community backlash won't be big enough, this will become the new norm.
