Managed to use a Death chaos lord to break Archaon’s leadership with doom and darkness to turn a battle around when I was getting spanked. I’m not saying that Death is the best lore, but it’s one of those game moments that got me into the storytelling aspect of this game. He’s not just a rando chaos sorcerer lord, he’s the chaos sorcerer lord that made the Everchosen run from a fight he was winning
I hope we get more characters like sigvald that are monogod but have undivided mechanics, to have a different experience

slaanesh lords give immunity to psychology to all armies in their vassals? damn, that's a pretty massive buff.
Surprising to hear the promotion of the “Assault Garrison” skill. I have never found it to be worth doing, much less worth 3 skill points.
with the new increased lvl cap in warhammer 3 most heros can now max out every skill with points left over, its more annoying than it is helpful but at least you dont have to choose
Love the full starting army detail. Most just do the lord selection screen.
Good video, but kind of odd Daemonic Presence (1st red skill) isn't mentioned.
Giving your army guaranteed xp per turn is pretty good for a faction that upgrades units with xp.

Holy crap. Brand new to RTS games and Warhammer in general and this is quite a bit of info to digest... and it's just one faction! A well done video though and much food for thought. Thx for all the work mate, it will help if I dive into this game. It's looks fair daunting to start. Cheers.
Obviously this is probably coming way too late to be of use to you, but maybe it can help another aspiring total war player 😊 Been playing since medieval . Tww3 has by far the best tutorial of any total war, though admittedly that's a VERY low bar lol. But I highly recommend playing the tutorial first and playing ur first campaign as high elves, there very straight forward. If they hold no appeal try empire, dark elves, Cathay, or possibly kislev. The campaign map gameplay is relatively simple compared to most strategy games, especially in the warhammer games, imagine battles could be overwhelming.... just pay close attention to the tool tips and make frequent use of the pause button to survey the field and issue orders. Have thousands of hours in the series and still heavily rely on the pause feature 😁. Also easy difficulty is great to learn the game pretty much stress free, you can steam roll the whole map with ease. Hope this helps ease someone's journey into this incredible series 😊

Odd to see that Archaon can have settlements now! (Well, all the warriors of chaos, in comparison to mortal empires!)
That is a bit unsettling, as one of my joys of playing Archaon was being a horde faction and not worrying about Public Order and Being tethered to some place, then defending, but, hey it still looks fun! And I suppose I don’t really know the mechanics yet!
Nothing was more satisfying then tearing up the Empire, having 1 million glory and not even worrying I was in the red until I stumble upon the sword of khaine 🤣
It is still pretty much like being a horde faction. You get a dark fortress, heaps of vassals and nothing to worry about. You can just keep on burning down everything in your path while your vassals clean up the ruins behind you. You now don't have to worry about the order AI resettling everything again and have a cozy fortress if you need to rest a bit. But honestly my Archaon game was pretty much just "Veni, vidi, vici".
Sigvald's sword quest battle intro speech is amazing. He became my favorite after that, lol

I can see the charm of old Warriors too. While lackluster compared to every other faction; they were a nice and simple "pick-up" campaign. Burning things and not worrying about anything else is kinda fun.
Pretty fun campaign. Cleared it once on VH. I went south to kill of dwarves first ignoring north completely. Funny how orcs become my "ally" with -100 relations. They were following me colonizing all the ruins. Grimmgor got massive thanks to that. He started war with both empire and britonia which made hide and seak with them more doable. I had some 1vs3 epic battle there. Chaos warriors army in wh2 was so straightforward. 4-6 dragon centaurs, 1-3 heroes on manticores and the rest were good ol chosen. Centaurs and heroes were dealing with backline and arty while chosen were tanking everything
I did a complete map clear in WH2 once. The last faction on the map was a group of Skaven based out of Lustria. Holy freaking hell, when I say that was the most obnoxious game of hide-n-seek "whak-a-mole" edition i have ever played, i absolutely mean it. Lol
mousing over skills was just a slight tad too fast.

Listening to this again, makes me wonder if they will release more Warriors of Chaos. Arbaal the Undefeated is another mortal Champion of Khorne potentially for a Legendary Lord, Syla Anfinngram as well. Aekold and Egrimm for Tzeentch, the 3 Brothers and Gutrot for Nurgle, and Dechala for Slaanesh. And of course, Archaon's second, Crom.
My first campaign was Valkia/WoC and was so damn strong! So many vassals Dark elves, norsca and other WoCs Lords and then Bretonnia and High Elf vassals near the end of my campaign

Marking Lords and Heros loses them the ability to ride Manticores or Chaos Dragons, two mounts which should be accessible to Chaos Lords and heroes of ANY mark. I hope this gets addressed and corrected. For anyone who likes those mounts, the mark will seem like a downgrade, and it shouldnt be that way.
Tbh really enjoy playing Archeaon and one of the first things I do is always force the confederations of the other Chaos lords

Playing Archaon, one thing i have wondered so far is whether it's worth converting my agents to a specific allegiance to a chaos god using path to glory. You lose half your level and I'm not certain the benefits are worth it vs an undivided hero. I did it once and was underwhelmed. Any opinions welcome plz
Nurgle Heroes provide mass heal, and Nurgle Prince provides damaging aura, other Heroes and Princes are not worth of the souls
I think one of the biggest cons of warriors of chaos is having a poor economy and being unable to rake in the favor to build more hordes.
Cant seem to unlock the Tzeentch Mark on my metal Sorcerer Lord with Belakor ( warriors of chaos) anyone elso know how to?

I don't agree they were one of the worst. They were stupidly strong, gaining access to chaos warriors and chosen extremely fast. They were just really, really simple. That being said, I do like the rework.

Thought these LL were each part of a Demon-faction, not all in the same Chaos faction, wtf.
I think the Champions of Chaos are in both the Warriors of Chaos and their specific monogod factions, as well
More precisely, they're Chaos Warriors in the Campaign, but are playable in DoC or WoC in Custom Battles.

kind of lazy, reading tooltips and giving advice that basically applies to any faction in any location. Stopped watching after 10min so don't know if rest of the vid has anything useful
