The serrated version of this knife is insane. Outslices anything I own, goes so well with the leaf-shape. I can definitely see it working for so called "tactical" uses too.
Good review man. I have the k390 version and I love it. I would not hesitate to split small wood pieces with it. On my hikes I never needed to split large wood..once you have your kindling and small sticks on fire you are good feed it with whatever else is around. The Enuff really is enuff for me
@@bboyshr6 It’s got such a nice balance in hand. And the thin grind just slices. I use my VG-10 in the kitchen every single day. For the woods, the BK-16.
You are the only review that I have found on this knife. So I have to give you kudos for that! I've narrowed my search down to two knives. This one and the Spyderco Serrata. Tough choice!
You’ve come to the right place for that evaluation: I had a Serrata, and regret selling it. While it’s great in hand and has killer looks, it is very purpose built (tough) with thick shoulders. Not very slicey at all. Although I recall splitting lots of wood on two trips and the edge just got got toothy with no damage. Nice piece, a lot tougher than the Enuff 2, but good luck if you want to slice a tomato or carve feathers.
Thank you for showing this one off! You are a Man after my own heart. This is an insta-buy for me as well. I also love my Gail Bradley Junction knife 😎 Thank you also for showing a picture of the inside of the handle on this one. As I wait for mine, I am day dreaming of how I will be making a set of custom scales for mine. Though I am a bit disappointed on how the inside looks. I was hoping for more of a Mule-like look under there. I am sure I'll get something figured out. I want to convert the screw pattern for the new set of scales, over to a two or three screw traditional set-up.
@@jovenguardian - My first Enuff 2 showed up today. I waited for the K390 version to become available. I have not taken the scales off yet. I'm going to carry it for a few days first. You seem to still be the only person to put up a Enuff 2 video on RUclips so far. What's going on here? 🤔
@@SteveKluver Maybe reviewers have had enough…. It’s kind of pricey for the strength and steel. One of those designs that only spydie heads tend to get.
Well, admittedly, @@jovenguardian. I am a bit of a Spydie-head 😀, but I do make some fixed blade knives, and the knives I make are nearly identical in grind, blade to handle ratio, steel choice, and thickness. For myself, and many others. This is a sweet spot in the EDC world. I thought more people would have by now, put up videos. Maybe we're just early birds? As for the 156V being on your blade. That notes, that knife was made for a Spyderco collector club member. Who must have decided to sell his. His number is 156, and the V stands for variation. This Enuff 2 being a variation of the original, Enuff. And pointing to a small world. I now own 156V also, but in K390. So you and I bought these Enuff 2 knives from the same person! 😎
Not sure about the VG10 Enuff2 but tje K390 one i have the sheath is made of that wretched glass filled plastic which immediately dulls an edge apex on contact exactly like all the cold steel secure-ex so the first thing i did was throw the sheath straight into the trash and temporarily using a bark river leather sheath till im able to get a proper kydex sheath made for it... I withdrew the blade from sheath twice and had to fully resharpen the knife both times and after that I would not even consider placing the amazing knife back into that garbage sheath!
It must be the same sheath for both steels as the dimensions of the knives are the same. One trick to prevent the dulling, is to apply pressure on the spine against the sheath as you are withdrawing/inserting.
I can confirm VG10 version sheath has same problem. Sheath is completely unusable, immediately dulls the knife, if you can't sharpen DON'T PUT THE KNIFE INTO THE SHEATH even once. Stropping won't help, would need to resharpen.
Oh damn. I knew Cold Steel sheaths did that so I always toss them but I didn't know that Spyderco sheaths are now doing that too. Hope this doesn't become a trend.
It looks like the sheaths were put together the wrong way(as far as the retention strap and g clip). Try inserting the blade the other way. This stops the blade rap and blade rattle when in the sheath.
I can't wait for the k390 version. Only issue I have is maybe price depending on what it is. Still debating between this in k390 or the Bradford Guardian 4 full flat grind in M390. Decisions
The Guardian 4 seems to be made with nicer materials. Good lines that appear comfortable. 4mm thick, so slightly stouter. Does it match the sliciness and flatness of carry?
I've just saw the k390 version for $270 or so, but I would have preferred a 4mm version of it myself. I also don't know if it's a seki or colerado build...I wouldn't trust the golden colerado version, though it may be a bit tougher for those light batoning tasks I don't think most will be trying to baton with this. I think giving it some time might be good to see what it's worth.
@@8thsinner the K390 is a Seki city build and they have always had the better K390 heat treat. I also found it for $168 at whitemountain but it's not in stock why and who knows when it will be. I also discovered 3 other fixies I really want to try including the Bestech Hedi blacksmith #2
IMO, Enuff 2 serrated in VG10 :) Can't go wrong with that, you get better edge retention than plain edge VG10 AND K390, easier to sharpen than K390, and rust resistant. And cheaper.
The 156V engraving denotes this knife's origin as a collector's club piece. You must have purchased this knife from one of the 200 people allowed to make a yearly commitment to buy all of Spyderco's knives that year.
Give the strap a few hard pulls, move it around to stretch it. Mine wouldn’t go in the sheath at first either. Took a lot of force. Now the snap broke in and works better.

Leather strap is absolutely pointless
It doesn't add to the retention at all
It should be a hard rubber button snap closure instead
wtf with age restrictions -.-'
