The California Routine: A Swungover Collection.

A Swungover (tm) collection of three Lindy Hop "California Routines" in history:
(1) -- The supposed origin of the routine, the ending of Hellzapoppin, involving Whitey's Lindy Hoppers and choreographed by Frankie Manning in 1941.
(2) -- The California routine performed in The Spirit Moves in the 1950s. With Leon James and Esther Washington.
(3) -- The California Routine slightly updated and performed by The Rhythm Hot Shots in 1994.

Thanks, I'm learning a watered-down version of this routine and it's helpful to see how it evolved. I'll never get close to the real thing but it helps to know what it should look like.
