As someone who’s worked in “male dominated” labor intensive jobs, there are many reasons women don’t go into these positions. The fact that they’re “physically demanding” is the absolute least of them.
    The primary reasons are:
    1) The culture of sexual harassment in many of these positions is insane. At trade-school, we had one woman in my class. She was constantly hit-on, commented to, etc. She had to laugh it all off, but many women wouldn’t want to deal with that. It’s something that the men don’t have to experience.
    2) Many trades can put women in dangerous situations. The “plumber” example that she gave. As a woman, it is dangerous to enter someone’s house alone. As woman showing up to unclog someone’s sink and being alone inside a house with complete strangers often leads to horrible behavior.
It’s not an issue of women not “wanting to do the work”, it’s an issue of living in a culture that makes certain jobs unsafe for women. And not because “they’re dangerous jobs”, but because of the way our society treats women as sexual objects and these jobs put women into positions where they are easily victimized.
I would love for my daughters to do the type of work I do, but I would worry non-stop about their safety.

Physically demanding is not the absolute least, but an absolute *big* reason. Why are there no women working in oil rigs, construction, sewage, and some of the most overlooked, physically intensive, yet incredibly demanding jobs?

Let's take her right to inherit as a woman. Let's get her do that to herself since she's a "useless woman". By her logic, women shouldn't have money unless it's from hard labor to be "equal". She's never worked a single day in an oil rig, hence shouldn't have any money, and since women don't want to work those jobs, then why should any of them stand to inherit...
Women didn't inherit in the past, that's a new thing made up in the last couple of centuries.
Let's also roll back the clock on it, and she shouldn't get any money after her parents die. Her closest male relative should inherit that, even if it's a distant cousin. 😏
She will have to get married to him or be given some of that money from him in the form of a stipend to get it. And uh oh! She's not a virgin, so she can't get married.
Let him give her 25 bucks a month since he's a charitable god.

@@armondtanzIt's almost as if there's a rigid set of gendered expectations that pressures men into doing riskier jobs that are more focused on manual labor because they are expected to "provide" financially. Meanwhile, women are expected to spend more of their time raising their families because they are not acknowledged as "providers" in the same way that men are. Long haul fishing, for example, is more "socially acceptable" as a profession for men than for women because it is more acceptable for men to be away from home away from their families than women.
My brother in Christ, if you are angry about the fact that men are treated as disposable bodies for the purposes of manual labor, that is the patriarchy at work causing that situation. Putting women into a double bind by socializing them to do "feminine" work, and then turning around and expecting them to do "masculine" jobs at the same rate as men is manipulative and irresponsible. Try to force that dynamic on the women in your life, and it's a good way to wake up one morning with your testicles in a clutch bag on your nightstand.

It does not imply that women achieve equality by pursuing specific occupations traditionally associated with men, but rather it emphasizes the importance of guaranteeing certain rights such as fair employment, worker protections, healthcare, housing, childcare, education, etc. These rights empower individuals to be both free and equal, allowing them to choose the path they desire, whether it involves pursuing their preferred career or being a stay-at-home parent, as long as they have the opportunity to make that choice for themselves.

They’d rather buy an uneducated overseas girl from a third-world nation as a wife opposed to her (since she’s clearly already benefitting from the feminist movement as she has the ability/capacity to maintain her own platform). The group she’s trying so hard to defend legit just wants to take away the rights of women to make it more easier to manipulate/control them "like the good ol days" where no one batted an eye no matter what they did due to them being incapable of escaping the marriage and living independently (or at least doing so sustainably).

Women should be virgins until they get married, yet she’s not a virgin. She says women should be working on oil rigs, yet she does not work on an oil rig.
