  • I explain three ways in which your opponent could be controlled. It is especially useful to keep in mind if you have a problem with nerves at the tournament. This will keep you from "forgetting" what to do!

    Ah, good point about the strip location. I started to realize that the position on the strip matters allot, and opponent tend to get more aggressive when they end up pressed to the end of the strip, and have no way back.Depends on personality too. Some will get aggressive, but more likely going to make mistakes. Others will get more defensive and hold their ground, parrying you out just to land the right hit.

    Really good video!!! I've been trying to improve my fencing for a while and always have problems fencing near that part of the piste. Hopefully going to use these tactics in my next competiition!

    Most terrible situation with nerves: opponent's blade is so strong that a parry is useless... got demolished couple of times
