Congrats Jorge! Yeah the Korbanth Darksaber looks sick. Love the weight of the hilt, feels like the real deal! The speaker Jeremy used is a 28mm Smugglers Outpost Elite speaker. Motion controls are a blessing and a curse lol. I agree, the blade could have been done better, can be a tad testy.. 2 buttons i totally prefer as well. Jeremy tried but there was no way around it. I have been waiting for a decent one to come along and really happy with mine. Hasbro and disney ones got nothing on this! Pricey, but rather get 1 versus buying all. Only to be disappointed in the lack of smooth swing. Fantastic review! Thank you for sharing this!

Actually for the DarkSaber specifically, Korbanth has shipped out the first batch of installed sabers last week and the rest will be coming at the end of Feb. It was def an amazing deal getting it with them - it weren't for the speed, i would have done empty as well.

Let me tell you in regard to your blade, it's way better than the Hasbro's, which is not as rigid as it looks, it has the tendency to wobble a little and at least in my case in particular it's not perfectly straight and without mention that it is not screen accurate. I think you dark saber is fantastic and the effects are awesome, congrats...!!!!!

Shocker, they like the Korbanth version. The blade looks better with the Hasbro one. I like the lightning cracks better on the Korbanth version, but I don't like the shape of it & it needs a little less lightning cracks. I mean of course it's gonna be a better saber, it's more expensive. But in actually looks, not function, I think the Hasbro one looks better.
Wish I had seen this before I bought mine. Korbanth Dark Saber just arrived. Hilt is beautiful, but the blade leaves a lot to be desired. I have the same bent tip that you show here. I also have a very pronounced warp to the blade, bends to the right. The blade rattles and there is a decent amount of play where it connects to the hilt. About to see what their customer service is worth.
2 weeks and no response from Korbanth CS. Not impressed. For what its worth, my 2 Saberforge Sabers are Flawless and arrived way faster than expected.
The one that costs twice as much with no electronics installed, and almost 5x as much with electronics installed, is better? Shocked! Shocked I tell you! lol

Question: The installed Darksaber is now available once again and I read a lot of comments about only buy the empty one due to the quality issues. (Price is big issue too)
I have zero experience with installing my own and I'm not sure what I need / cost or where can I ask for help with installing this saber.
Best place to find installers is through Facebook and join one of the Lightsaber groups. I recommend Solo Sabers. You can also find him on Facebook. Jeremy is his name. Great trustworthy guy. It is pricey. But the service is the best
I like the lightning cracks on the Korbanth blade, but I can’t afford it plus install. Had to get the Black Series. Also, not crazy about the additional audio. Yeah, it’s nice and all, but having Mando sound clips does nothing for me, especially with mine primarily being a display piece. No dueling/cosplaying. Might take it down and swing it around occasionally, though.

I was planning to purchase it but it's sold out. The other option on Korbanth costs over 700 hundred and that's way too expensive. I'm so sad I really wanted to have this Darksaber. 😞

How do I charge the battery? Do you need to take out the battery and charge it or does it have a plug? And is the charger included?
The Korbanth Darksaber that I have in this video has a removable chassis that allows me to remove the battery to charge it. The saber does not come with a charger since I purchased it with no electronics. The Hasbro one has a usb charger

Hilt was $475 ….. then solo sabers charged $630 to instal the battery etc ? or did it cost you $630 total after there install so $150ish for there install. I would love to know bc I need one of these in my life.

Thanks for watching Josh! The hilt was $475. They come empty with a blade ready to install. Solo Sabers charges $630 for installation. That includes wiring the soundboard, battery, a custom chassis, and lighting the blade. So yea it’s pricey. What you are paying for with Solo Sabers is expert installation, customer support and quick service. You can get it fully installed from Korbanth for around $750 I think. But it does take a lot longer to get it

Hey dude! I got a question, I saw on the Korbanth website that theres a dark saber that says installed in the title, does that mean that the led strips are inside the blade already?
Yes that one comes fully functional. Takes a while to get it but that will work

@@Frost_0910 that I’m not entirely sure of. I think for some lightsabers they restock. But I’m pretty sure many of them are one and done.
i prefer black series because its less expensive and more better because my theory of the cracks in the blade is the amount of peoples emotions build up in the saber storing it from the ones who had died with the saber in activated in their grasps because the saber uses emotions to become more powerful but the black series looks more clean because you probably wont notice the white plastic unlike the other one
I've been debating this and after seeing screencaps on RPF Forum and pictures from the actual builder of the prop, the Hasbro hilt is actually closer to it than Korbanth's version. The actual prop from pictures I've seen has a more glossy emitter and dark gray w/textured finish on the handle where Korbanth's is bare metal. The only part on Korbanth's version that is somewhat accurate is the 4 set screws.

@@AdamSmith-fe9jf They're grey. It's just that the light is bombarding the prop in that shot. If you look at other screen grabs, notably from the same episode when he puts it in the luggage container for the starliner, you can see the stripes are dark grey. You can also see it in Mando season 2 when he tries to hand it to Bo Katan, and see just how glossy it should be. Not matte. I've paid way too much attention to details. Lol
@@MatchstickMan How about the overall shape and size, and particularly with emphasis on the emitter? Which of the two would you say is more screen accurate: Korbanth’s or Hasbro’s?
@Adam Smith For that, likely Korbanth. Hasbro lightsabers tend to be oversized by a percentage. I think even the Galaxy's Edge one is closer in size than the Hasbro, (and actually has a more accurate emitter than hasbro) but even it is a little overly small.
You said you weren't a big fan of the blade. Do you think it looks good with the light?
Yes the light up is great. What I don’t like is that I got one with a tip that’s bent. Looks like it was mashed. And it was manufactured with the holes not in alignment with the hilt mounting screws. So it’s finicky when you install it. Otherwise the light up is very good

I went to saber pro and got one that was double hilt and blade and its not one that is assigned to a character. Beast it's called hope I made a right choice. I should have done more research but I forgot the good sites that were recommended on RUclips but they have good reviews.

Is the blade sturdy? I have the black series version and the blade flops around.
Its pretty sturdy. More so with the longer screws that are provided. But it does have a little wiggle. Its not something I would feel comfortable in combat with.

What I'm hoping for is a hilt that's closer to the shiny look of the hasbro (minus the speaker where the hands are gonna be), the silver parts of the korbanth but not too silver. And hopefully the best looking lightning Darksaber blade. I can't wait!

It's pricey but it's gorgeous and it absolutely blows away the Hasbro. Out of all the sabers, this one feels the most "alive," if you get what I mean, it looks and sounds almost evil, like it could do some serious damage if it were to fall into the wrong hands, lol.

From Solo Sabers yes. You will get it faster. But you can actually get it fully installed from Korbanth for $700 with the hilt. So that’s actually the more cost effective option that I would suggest doing. I would suggest Solo Sabers if you want further customization, speed and better customer support.
Firstly, if you looked at the shows (The Mandalorian Season 2 and The Book of Boba Fett), the black sections on the hilt are more reflective than the matte black on the Korbanth. Also the stripes are gun-metal grey in the show like The Black Series Force FX, not silver like the Korbanth.
Secondly, the cost of the Korbanth empty hilt is more than The Black Series Force FX Elite Darksaber complete. And if you did want to complete the Korbanth, you would need to spend over $700 dollars on a lightsaber which is ridiculously absurd. Those that don't think so are either really rich and are not hardcore Star Wars fans, or are hardcore Star Wars fans and not rich but don't care about anything else in life.
Thirdly, do you want the Dark Sword or the Darksaber? Sure, maybe you don't care official licencing and just care about the looks... Then get The Black Series!
Movie lighting my dude!!! Korbanth is the closest to on screen dark sabers currently available! Is what it is 🤷🏽♂️!
After having MR hilts, force fx hilts, ally express hilt and custom hilts, there is just NO comparison to owning custom built hilts!!! Do the cost more yes!! Do they offer wayyyyyy more absolutely!!!!! Besides SOME Ali hilts you can’t even think about ANY kind of dueling with any of the “non custom” hilts(also mute issue as the only dark saber blade that CAN be dueled with is still under construction) none of the licensed hilt have smooth swing, no aftermarket customization options and a few that do offer a Proffie are often glitchy and cheaply installed🤷🏽♂️!
If you haven’t had a custom smooth swing hilt that won’t fall apart or break when dueling pls don’t knock them!!
I have cheap hilt that I don’t use and don’t want to waist money on and prefer a custom built hilt!! Yes in the $500+ range! NO I’m not rich! Yes I work hard and currently have been doing property maintenance for around 13yrs now and yes I have a family with 4 kids!! Family is my main priority yes but I do also have likes and things I want too 🤷🏽♂️! Even if it’s expensive, ppl can save up for something they want! The other thing you can do like I did, is to learn how to make them yourself!! It takes time and research(something too many people don’t want to do nowadays!), I’ve been researching saber building for almost 3yrs now along with working on my own designs to do short run of hilts when I’m ready to sell some!! I acquired and learned to 3d print and lathe specifically towards sabers but also started with some other things like props!
Where I’m at now took a lot of time and planning and wasn’t always easy but quality isn’t always! Ultimately it depends on the person and what they are willing to do for what they want and what kind of drive they have to accomplish their goal! That apply to most things in life not just sabers too though 🤷🏽♂️ that’s my 2¢ lol!
@@jedirogar There are two sides: Star Wars fans and there are lightsaber enthusiasts. You can be both, but you will always lean closer to one than the other. Where you land on that scale determines how much money you are willing to burn for a stick that makes lights and sounds. I hate to call lightsabers that, but until some brilliant physicist engineers an actual lightsaber that can ignite and retract and cut through anything, that's the truth. I'm just a Star Wars fan who is a casual lightsaber euthusiast, but also knows the value of money because I am not excessively rich.

From what I understand, the Darksaber from Disney's galaxies edge is a better ,more thought out and less complicated than the hasbro, and I have tons of hasbro, so. But excepting for a little electrical tape, to widen the white part of the blade and the sound is better on Disney's also, even though Both Disney nor Hasbro have discovered a thing called smooth swing! Anyway, sounds like you got a better Dark saber
Very nice indeed, but it's hardly a fair comparison, your saber cost around $1000with install & hilt/blade , on the other hand you have the hasbro saber, costs around $300 , in fact at this time in the uk I picked the hasbro for £199 GBP/ $252 . Then you have the talking feature? I don't recall any sabers talking in any films or programmes, so not exactly accurate, but the actual sound it awesome in comparison with the hasbro sound/ volume, but then that's why it cost so much more.
Umm idk I just watched the black series and this brand lightsaber and I will buy the black series I don't think the effects are better than the black series. Not as accurate

Silver grips is not accurate to the show. It’s a two tone of black and gun metal grey. Neosabers has a better hilt than this.
The Korbanth Saber is $700+ installed?!?!?! Screw that shit. You can get the same Saber cheaper from other sellers. EDIT: Also, there are screengrabs where the Darksaber is more black and grey than black and silver. I think lighting makes it look more silver than grey. I'm gonna be picking mine up from Vader's Saber in a few days or so. But the Korbanth Darksaber does look sharp...just too expensive for me
