Lake Isabelle was inspired from a hike I took with my wife in 2023. During our hike, the skies grew dark and we found ourselves surrounded by a pretty severe storm. The thunder was louder than we'd ever heard, we were essentially alone and truly at the mercy of nature. After several hours, we made it to Lake Isabelle, and on top of that, a beautiful rainbow formed over the water. The whole thing felt very poetic, so I attempted to write a song about it.
